Oh, a nice story

Nice story. Characters are likable enough. A little less than exciting. Daily life with a family focused on teenage angst and a bit of a martyr for a divorced mother. no great shakes, but "nice" depending on what you are looking for.

Easy summer read

Great content, very relatable for mothers. Enjoyed the nantucket scenery and the middle age relatability of family issues.

Never fall in love with anyone from another city/country you wouldn’t want to live! It just hurts too much

I loved character Blythe and the family and that her x mother in law Celeste loves her and her four kids so much! This book is a treasure …especially if you love Nantucket and family times spending summers together, it also teaches u that before u start dating someone ask that person if they intend to live in the same place city etc area u love. Ask yourself if i fell for this person would i move to their city/country? If the answer is no dont get your heart crushed! I was hoping Blythe would tell Aidan when she saw him after 25 years … they shoukd just rent a hotel room hideaway for them to reconnect since they had no alone time with four kids and friends coming and going. In the end she chose the right man . This book makes you think, makes you pause and reflect on your own life and the family children are so interesting. Youll love it! Also one thing so many writer’s dont include in their stories is WHY DO the characters never take photos ?? Especially when she sees her former husbands new girlfriend kissing some else. i find myself saying when listening to so many books on audible TAKE A PICTURE right now!! At least In this book her friend asks her why she didnt take a picture.

Family is forevet

A great family story with a few surprises along the way. But all is good at the end.

Love this book!!

I love the fact that I never wanted to put it down. I hated to see it end. She just made you fall in love with the characters.

Enjoyable

It felt silly at times but was very entertaining. Definitely not a 5 star book but good. Interesting characters

Disappointing

I normally enjoy all of Nancy Thayer‘s books, but this was the first that was a disappointment. There were things like middle school children being allowed to stay out routinely unaccompanied until 11 o’clock and 70-year-old woman being made to sound like she was 95. I look forward to her next book, but this one definitely fell short for me.
