There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

Publisher's Summary
It may be Christmas Eve in New York, but for ex-military bodyguard Ryan Lock it's business as usual. His task: to protect the CEO of the world's largest bio-technology company from a group of radical, and highly determined, activists. But when a failed assassination attempt leaves the streets of midtown littered with bodies, and hours later the son of the company's chief research scientist is abducted from his Upper West Side prep school, Lock's hunt for the boy turns into an explosive game of cat and mouse.
Through the corporate corridors of power and dark alleys of Manhattan, Lock's search leads him towards a deadly confrontation with one of the world's most dangerous women. As the clock ticks towards midnight on New Year's Eve, and the crowds gather in Times Square, Lock realizes that not only is his own life in terrible danger but so are the lives of millions of others....

Decent first a bit predictable
Would you listen to Lockdown again? Why?
Probably not, but I will listen to the next I'm the series.
What about Elijah Alexander’s performance did you like?
This is the first thing I've heard Elijah Alexander narrate. I thought he did a fine job.
Any additional comments?
I think the premise of this book is good. Kind of reminds me a little of Andrew Peterson's Nathan McBride. Good story but I had the "bad guy" pegged the within the first hour even though he wasn't revealed until the last hour. I will definitely get the second book in the series, I think this author is talented but based on the first book could use some polish (and a few more books under his belt).

A HIGH VELOCITY ACTION THRILLER
Would you listen to Lockdown again? Why?
No. In listening to it, I had the feeling I'd heard or read it before. It was a bit too predictable.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
No, but it was interesting.
What about Elijah Alexander’s performance did you like?
He did a great job in keeping the interest going.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

just okay
this book started out good. the bodyguard who saves the day. then it gets almost unbelievable-- there were too many subplots. without using spoilers the last 3/4 of the book was crazy. this could have been a 5 star story -- if there were not so many crazy backstories for almost everyone in the book.
