Publisher's Summary

Parrish Partridge’s true facts:

There’s nothing hotter than a tall, gruff, bewildered, tattooed mountain of a man cuddling a sweet, orphaned baby, so you can tell yourself that you’ll resist him...

But that’s a lie.

And when that man asks you to do him a favor and pretend to be his very temporary, very fake fiance to help him get custody of that adorable baby, you can pretend you know better than to say yes...

But that’s a lie, too.

And when you actually get to know your kind, strong, pullet-loving prince of a fiance, and all his crazy, lovable, meddling neighbors, you can tell yourself you’re not really falling for Diesel Church and the town of Licking Thicket...

But that might be the biggest lie of all.

A sweet opposites attract, found family romance!

This was a sweet opposites attract, found family romance.

We get to meet Diesel in book 1. He is portrayed at being a very reserved and private person who prefers to keep to himself.
When his sister dies unexpectedly, he is left to care for his niece and he has no idea to take care of her.

Parrish comes from wealth but he hasn't had the best of luck in relationships.
When the hunky tattooed man with the adorable baby girl asks him to pretend to be his fiancé, he can't say no to him. Especially, when the custody of his niece is at stake.

I loved coming back to Licking Thicket.
Both Diesel and Parrish were sweet together and Marigold, bless her heart was the cutest ray of sunshine.

The writing was hilarious and entertaining and I loved listening to this.
Michael Dean's audio delivery made this even more enjoyable to listen to.

Hilarious, sexy, and adorable

I’ve listened to the previous book in the series and I love this continuation of such a hilarious town of people. I’ve become emotionally attached to these characters and can’t wait for the third to come out to read it on kindle because I’m just that impatient to here more of the story. Michael Dean is amazing as always. He really puts you in the story and has such a sexy voice too. If you’re looking for steamy sex and a love story that has substance to it, look here. I recommend you start with “Fakers” and then immediately purchase this book.

Adorable. So cute. Loved these two.

Really enjoyed this story. Parrish and Diesel made a really cute couple. They played perfect off each other. I do so enjoy stories by May and Lucy. Michael is one of my favorite narrator to boot.

Excellent performance!

So Michael Dean is not my favorite narrator. There are others I prefer but if you enjoy M/M romance there's no escaping him ; ) That being said this is one of his best performances! Parrish is this rambling sweetheart and Michael nailed it.

The story was great! I'm a sucker for gentle giants. I had a feeling Diesel would be exactly that when we met him in the first book. Both characters really made you root for their HEA.

Sweet AND Spicy!

With Audibles, the narrator is super important, I've learned after some disappointing experiences. 🙄 This guy won't let you down! 🔥 He's a serious PRO!

Another masterpiece!

I adore these two (I’m not only talking about the main characters, but about wonderful ladies who wrote this book). The story was heartfelt, sexy and laugh out loud hilarious. Can’t wait for the next one!

A Gem!

Even better than the last book! I loved these characters. With big rough Diesel and his journey of finding a family and sweet neurotic Parish who finds out his worth, this book is full of feels! Throw in the adorable baby, the fun cast of side characters and top notch narration and you’ve got a gem!

Not as good as the first.

Enjoyed the first Licking Thicket but struggled through this. The humour sermed forced. The characters not as believable.

Great story, highly recommend

I'm a sucker for small town romances and in a town called Licking Thicket, whose mayor is Red Johnson there's no end to the puns. The Licking Thicket series makes me laugh so hard my sides hurt and had moments that makes me cry from joy. These qwerky characters make me want to keep coming back for more!

Fun, happy read

There is so much going on in the Thicket! Diesel and Parrish’s story is a bit kooky, sappy, whimsical and full of ‘small town good’. Both characters grow both personally and together as a couple. Throw in feisty chickens, a town full of completely memorable friends, a sweet baby girl and a super secret surprise ending and you’ve got the makings of a ten hour getaway to a story as comfortable as down home cooking and your best pair of weekend pants!

Great Storyline & Characters 😁

Yet another great collaboration of the Lennox/Archer genius 😊

Fantastic listen, great storyline and characters as well as excellent narration by Michael Dean - a voice you can easily melt into ☺️

It has the right mix of everything!

Hopefully more to come in this series and collaboration.

Definitely worth the 5🌟’s 🥰

cute

"Ok, yes, we can adopt the obese, homeless turkey named waddles."

This book is so cute. Big scary tattooed guy is a vegetarian who loves gossiping with his pet chickens; and rich boy has a habit of giving apology thingies that are like apology casseroles only different. I wanna adopt these gorgeous men.
