LETTERS TO CUPID

The narrator did an excellent job in reading a very entertaining novel by this author. She gave voice to a well written story.

Stupid Cupid

Valentina lives in a Tuscany village with her daughter, mother and grandmother. They run a chocolate shop that sits in font of a Cupid fountain that grants wishes of those who seek their love. Andie, an American celebrity chef, comes to spend three months while writing her next cookbook. Can magic be real? A great author and narration.

Loved!

Such a sweet little story with some sizzle. Miranda did not disappoint with this one. Highly recommend!

New Narrator needed

The story is funny and captivating. However, the lack of changes in each character’s voice is a pain. Additionally, the cadence of the narrator leaves a lot to be desired. She’s not horrible but this story is probably not the one for her. She sounds very serious but not romantic.

Was pretty good

Stephanie Murphy does a great job narrating, but her lack of an Italian accent was disappointing considering this story took place in Italy, with mainly Italian characters. Also, Andy's character was extremely unlikeable at the very beginning - entitled and bossy - she was behaving like an extreme diva. This makes her behaviors later on in the book feel rather unbelievable and not genuine. Overall, it was as one would expect from Miranda MacLeod, a funny tale with laugh out loud moments.

Please don't be put off by the title. It is really a great story and alot of fun. Stephanie does such a great job as narrator.

This story was pretty good, but overly long

This story starts out as a young girl’s coming of age story, involving a magic “Cupid” fountain that is supposed to for-tell who you will fall in love with. Years later, after her marriage ends, she has a different sort of coming of age when she meets an intriguing woman.

I wasn’t especially taken with any of the characters in this story, particularly the main character.
As the story drug on, I became less and less interested in the characters and what they were doing. Though the writing was okay, it seemed like a needlessly drawn out story focused on the main character’s coming to terms with her homosexuality.
What I liked most about the story was the setting (she works at the family’s chocolate shop) in Italy and the grandmother, who I thought was the most interesting character.

Chocolate delight

I loved Letters to Cupid by Miranda MacLeod. Located in a small Tuscany town, the fountain is one of the best characters written into this romance. Andie and Valentina so rightfully belong together, and their journey in finding each other is delicious. You can imagine the smells and tastes of sharing a meal with a real Italian family, which I miss. Stephanie Murphy is the perfect narrator for the MacLeod novels.

Sweet Story!

Miranda does it again! She has such a great talent for writing funny and charming storylines! She writes books that keep you smiling the whole 12 hrs and 10 minutes! Loved this to pieces! Stephanie Murphy does an amazing job of keeping it seamless!

Una bellissima storia!

Carefully woven together to form an outstanding feel-good rom-com. Yet again, the narrator added to the entertainment and emotion of the story. I loved every minute of it.
