Publisher's Summary

Detective Superintendent Roy Grace, creation of the CWA Diamond Dagger award-winning author Peter James, faces his most engrossing case yet in Left You Dead.

Niall and Eden Paternoster start their Sunday the same way they always do - with a long drive, a visit to a country house and a quick stop at the local supermarket on the way home.

But this Sunday ends differently - because while Niall waits and waits in the car park for Eden to pick up supplies, Eden never returns. She’s not waiting for him at home, and none of their family or friends have heard from her.

Gone without a trace, Niall is arrested on suspicion of her murder. When DS Roy Grace is called in to investigate, it doesn’t take long to realize that nothing in this case is quite as it seems....

Left You Dead is the 17th thrilling crime novel in the Roy Grace series. Enjoy more of the Brighton detective’s investigations with Dead Simple, Looking Good Dead and Not Dead Enough.

Now a major TV series starring John Simm.

Welcome back, Peter!

After two sub par stories, I was delighted to listen to this excellent new edition. Although a couple of parts could be deemed ‘unbelievable’, it is a great work of fiction and I couldn’t wait to get back to it every time I put it down.
There seemed to be a mistake in the dates (funeral scheduled for Monday the 13th September which couldn’t have been I think it should have been 30th) but overall a great listen and enjoyable story, like the good old days! Well done, Peter.

Ludicrous climax

Not up to previous books. Decent narration but the climactic scene was so ludicrous and corny as to pull the decent bits of the book down. Also how so many trained detectives could miss so many clues screaming for discovery was also frustrating.

Tangled web

Starts off slow, but once more details are added, things get very interesting.
Some common sense would have come in handy for the one who thinks they are so clever. Captivating mystery, but definitely Not a thriller.

The Best of the DEAD.....

I have listened to eight of Peter James' "DEAD" books with the infamous Detective Superintendent Roy Grace.

After listening to this audiobook, LEFT YOU DEAD is now my favorite title of this series.

The book was fast-paced and impossible to put down, with no shortage of exciting and compelling twists and turns.

LEFT YOUR DEAD is book 17 and I am proud to report that talented (and prolific!) author Peter James has not lost his mojo.

Daniel Weyman did a superb job with the narration.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Peter James is now working on Book 18.

Waited in anticipation for the next book. Couldn’t put it down. A great inspector Grace is back- much better than the last book. Some unexpected death of characters. All ready waiting for the next

Excellent in all ways

I loved this audio book. Peter James story was brilliant and the narrator completely did it justice. I listened over two days as wanted to know what was going to happen next. I definitely would recommend. Hope there will be another in the Roy Grace series - I think this might be my favourite so far.

Possibly the best yet!

I think this may be the best in the series featuring DI Grace. I guessed a major part of the twist early on. That didn’t spoil my enjoyment though and, as the story progressed, there was so much more than I expected. I was gripped throughout. I very much look forward to the next offering by Peter James.

Always a treat

Like a long lost family, so good to listen to a solid Roy Grace and Co story, even with the difficult family event. I tried to make the book last but can’t help myself. They are a staple favourite and when all the right characters and ingredients come together it’s just an indulgence. Doesn’t have to be a trail blazing story to be thoroughly enjoyable. Thank you, keep ‘em coming please!

I so love Daniel Weyman

I also guessed most of the ending which is annoying. Not all of it but almost all very bad form. Roy and his wife are a bit sooky I don’t think this story was his best.
