Publisher's summary

Penguin presents the audiobook edition of Leaders Eat Last, written and read by Simon Sinek.

Simon Sinek's recent video on 'The Millennial Question' went viral with over 150 million views. In Leaders Eat Last, Sinek explores how leaders can inspire cooperation and change, and focuses on the millennial generation in the workplace.

Imagine a world where almost everyone wakes up inspired to go to work. This is not a crazy, idealised notion. In many successful organisations, great leaders are creating environments in which teams trust each other so deeply that they would put their lives on the line for each other.

Yet other teams, no matter what incentives were offered, are doomed to infighting, fragmentation and failure. Why?

Today's workplaces tend to be full of cynicism, paranoia and self-interest. But the best organisations foster trust and cooperation because their leaders build what Sinek calls a Circle of Safety. It separates the security inside the team from the challenges outside. Everyone feels they belong and all energies are devoted to facing the common enemy and seizing big opportunities.

As in Start with Why, Sinek illustrates his ideas with fascinating true stories, from the military to manufacturing, from government to investment banking. He shows that leaders who are willing to eat last are rewarded with deeply loyal colleagues who will stop at nothing to advance their vision. It's amazing how well it works.

Moving Beyond Belief - Not just theories, but proof

As fast as motivational, self development and business books go, I've read pretty much all of them. This book however, was the only one that actually backed up their "theories" with irrefutable scientific proof. A fantastic journey with so many great relevant stories, I truly believe this book contains the thinking and information that will have the greatest impact. Regardless if your reading it for personal or business, it's well worth the listen, and I hope it inspires you as much as it inspired me.

Insightful

really enjoyed the book. the firts half was a bit difficult to work through, and the writer's analytical nature provides almost information overload. But once the connections are made it started to make sense. Practical examples are provided which makes everyday application easy. I hope this book can inspire leaders to make the changes its society requires. Thank you Mr. Sinek.
