not good to learn Spanish

I know enough Spanish to have a conversation with guys at work, but my Spanish is spanglish at best. what I wanted is to be taught the he, she, we, are going, is going, has gone parts of Spanish. This book did not teach me any more Spanish. it gives you fundamentals of the Spanish language at a read pace that is at a high intellectual level. if you have a very basic level of Spanish this book would be great to sit and read. in my opinion, not great to teach you to start speaking Spanish.
