Story

In a rarified world of scientific research, a revolution has been brewing. Its activists are not anarchists, but rather Nobel Laureates in physics and economics and pony-tailed graduates, mathematicians, and computer scientists from all over the world. They have formed an iconoclastic think-tank and their radical idea is to create a new science: complexity. They want to know how a primordial soup of simple molecules managed to turn itself into the first living cell--and what the origin of life some four billion years ago can tell us about the process of technological innovation today.

Brain Energy will transform the field of mental health, and the lives of countless people around the world.

She chaperoned baby sea turtles on their journey to sea. She pursued bad guys on her galloping patrol horse. She jumped into rescue helicopters bound for the heart of the Grand Canyon. She won arguments with bears. She slept with a few too many rattlesnakes. Hell yeah, it was the best job in the world! Fortunately, Andrea survived it.

four-five stars
Excellent book (in spanish), and indeed share my "Dehaene" line of thinking about brain studies!
Only two minor observations:
1) one irrelevant typo (a comment mentioning previous chapters about dorsal vs lateral frontal cortex function assignation...). don't remember the chapter, but in the first third of the book
2) at chapter 53, final minutes, an error with silence in audio for about 6-7 seconds.
