There are three rules to surviving the Fae—and I'm about to break every single one.
Rule #1. Never cross into Faerie.
When I'm chased across the wicked border and caught by its reclusive ruler of the sky, the pretty trickster with a clever tongue offers me a deal.
Rule #2: Never bargain with a Fae.
But I don't have a choice. For thirteen days, I have to survive in his mountainous maze of sinister paths, deceptive stairways, and devious creatures. Refuse, and my sisters will suffer as punishment.
Rule #3: Never fall for the enemy.
I should have known my sexy captor wouldn't play fair. The deeper I plunge into this dangerous world of Solitary Fae, the more I'm entangled in their ruler's seductive web of desire—and the forbidden temptations he offers.
The price of losing this wicked game is everything I love. But winning might just cost me my heart.
Kiss the Fae is the first book in Natalia Jaster's scorching fantasy romance series, Dark Fables: Vicious Faeries. If you like heavy steam, enemies to lovers, and morally grey book boyfriends, be prepared to swoon for the villain. Intended for mature listeners.

This book was so much fun! It had major Labyrinth vibes which just took it up a level for me!
With a bad@$$ female lead, and a devious dark king, this book will have you hooked from page one and will keep you craving more!
Lark is a sassy, mouthy, free spirit who loves her sisters, her father and her animal sanctuary & also enjoys a tumble with a fetching lad whenever the mood strikes.
When a recent tumble turns into a chase She ends up in Faerie and that never ends well.
This was full of adventure, surprises, tricks, fables, family, magic and more. It was an amazing story in a magical world, it was fun, spicy and full of snark and sass. I loved the chemistry and banter between Lark and Cerulean and I was a big fan of the spice.
You remind me of the babe….

And makes readers /listeners spellbound . I have written reviews on the books which are under Robin Manor. Perhaps first reading then listening is the most enjoyable way to experience this special world.
Both narrators were phenomenal although I do wish there was more Tim Campbell included. Now I am on pins and needles waiting for the rest of the series to come to audible.

Tim Campbell voice sounds familiar and yet different, even if he only narrated a chapter, it was a narration that caught my attention. I look forward to hearing him more throughout this series. Amanda Leigh Cobb narration was captivating and the accent helped with the fae language. This kept me glamoured with this book.
Story
This story was captivating and i love the challenge aspect to this story. The character were amazing and the world building was entertaining. The author kept reminding the reader of important components of this series and help remind us that the other sisters are also being challenged. Of course there were spicy scenes but this story felt slow burned with sexual tension in every gaze.
This story was a nice enemies to lover in the best way. I haven't been able to find an enemies to lover that actually read as an enemies to lovers story UNTIL NOW.
Lark
This character is amazing, sexual, and independent. She will give any man a run for their money. The author did an amazing job making this character snarky but loveable for the readers and the MMC. I hope that we see a bit of her in the rest of the series.
Cerulean
This character was highlighted to a point in this book and i loved his role when it came to the FMC in the beginning and most definitely throughout the story it shifted but it was magical hehe He definitely fought will all his might to not want her but he fell and i lived for it.
Glamoured through the pages *Swoon*

Narrator: Amanda Leigh Cobb - always phenomenal with her dialects, accents, tone changes between characters.
This series follows three sisters (found family style) who have very different personalities but who all help protect endangered animals and foster injured animals. This role leads them to an unfortunate misunderstanding with the neighboring Fae rulers, who also have an affinity for the flora and fauna of their lands.
The sisters are forced to undergo their own "games" and challenges and the first book of the series focuses on Lark (sister) navigating the labyrinth of the Solitary Mountain as challenged by Cerulean (Fae Ruler of the Sky).
Lots of riddles and fables to challenge you as you read. Some were clarified towards the end; some may be further clarified in the subsequent books of the series.
Lark and Cerulean have an interesting story and good banter; some of the plot is obvious for a long time before the main characters figure it out. It wasn't as suspenseful as I wanted it to be; I never got super stressed for Lark, which I think was the goal of the trials of the mountain.
It's more of a feel good enemies to lovers type of fantasy read. Things are resolved enough in the first book that you could read it as a one-off of the series. That can be nice when you get tired of having to slog through a long series to get some resolution. However, it leaves you wondering what happens for her sisters (Juniper and Cove) in the subsequent books in the Vicious Fae series. So if you like a good series it delivers on that as well.
Spice: Slow burn with some open door, descriptive scenes and very sweet moments. I give 3 chili peppers.
I rated this a 3 because of my personal preferences for fantasy, as follows:
1) complex world building - this book is fairly straight forward which will be enjoyable for people who don't want to get bogged down and confused by complex world building.
2) Intricate and confusing world history/character history - I loved being stumped and struggling through riddles and prophecies. Jaster gives you some decent history that isn't too confusing to follow, which is likely preferred by some readers.
3) MORE STEAM PLEASE - I prefer 4-5 chili peppers (don't judge me, lol). So it may have slid into the 4 star range regardless of my other preferences if there were MORE spicy scenes.
So, this could easily be rated higher if your preferences vary somewhat from the ones I listed above as mine. I completed listening to the book in just a couple of days, so it did keep me entertained to keep listening.
I hope this review was helpful! Enjoy!

I fell in love with Lark and Cerulean in Kiss the Fae. It is such a unique and entertaining story of humans and fae. It’s whimsical and deceitful. It’s brutal and tender. It’s exciting and spicy.
My reading experience with Kiss the Fae was with the audiobook. The narrators, Amanda Leigh Cobb and Tim Campbell did a phenomenal job capturing the essence of this story. The next book in the series, Hunt the Fae is out you better believe I used this month’s audible credit on it!
This is an AMAZING audiobook!!!
