Lisa Gardner Never Disappoints!

As with all Lisa Gardner's books, this work is well researched and thoughtful, while also full of suspense, plot twists, intrigue, and fun. In this particular novel, Lisa highlights and brings to life an issue extremely relevant to the times in which we live, putting a face to the refugee crisis and educating readers on the many challenges faced by individuals experiencing resettlement. Excellent addition to the Frankie Elkin series! Can't wait for the next one!

Lisa is losing her toush

Lisa Gardener used to be my favorite author. The last 2 books were not as good as previous books. I hear enough about immigration on the news, I read for entertainment. Stick to the classic crime stories. and where is Detective DD Warren. she was the best.

Heartbreaking

Wow that was certainly a thrilling and beautiful story. I very much enjoy the character of Frankie.

Boring

I've loved all Lisa Gardner books, especially the FrankiexElkin books, but this was terrible. So incredibly boring, and the narration of Frankie was awful. very disappointing

Not my favorite…

There was A LOT going on in this story. Without risk of spoiling it, somewhere along the lines Lisa lost the plot. It felt like spaghetti being thrown against the wall and putting everything into the story. When you think it’s over, here’s another rabbit pulled out the hat, and then another! And another! This is definitely a return for me.

Very interesting, value information

I loved how she went into the Afghanistan life and culture. Since the end of the war I have wondered what happened to the people that were able to get out.

I eagerly await for Lisa Gardner books o be released as I love her style of writing. This story again KNOCKS IT OUT OF THE PARK

The twists and turns

I learned a bit more about the refugee process, which is very complicated. It gave me more empathy for their suffering. The camps are the stuff of nightmares. The mystery was full of twists and turns. Hillary Huber is one of my favorite book performers. Frankie, the main character is a terrific one. She is pushy, inquisitive and deeply empathetic while she searches for the missing. If I was the missing person, or someone I cared about was, I would want her on the case.

Intriguing storyline

Intriguing storyline from the very first chapter through to the end. Highly recommended as it’s extremely hard to put down.

Can’t get enough Frankie

Captured by the quirky and well detailed characters as always. Wonderful listen can’t wait for the next one!
