We managed to pass the first test set out for us by the desert goddess on our path to finding the dragon hatchlings. Of course, that means I really have the eye of Asag, the Beast from the East, on me now.
Maks has been taken by a woman known as the Storm Queen. As her pet and possibly as her baby daddy. So instead of going after the second step that would take us closer to Asag and the dragons, I am racing south to the Sea of Storms to rescue Maks. Queen or no queen, I am not giving up on my mate.
But like all things in my life, nothing is going as planned. I’ve ended up with another Jinn to deal with, a five-year-old shifter who loves to call out my cursing, and a detour that takes me away from Maks.
The clock is ticking, and we are closing in on the players that would stop us from making things right...if only my black cat bad luck would ease off, we’d be good.

I am sooo into this story
I don’t even know how I ever shall live without stories of the pride. I love Zam, Lila and Maks so much, the first book is my total go to happy book. And this one, didn’t disappoint. Twists and turns, sweet friendship and kick @ss heros. The demons better put on their big boy panties, because the pride is coming for them and will not rest until they have faced off with the baddest of them all. Hurry up book nine! I cannot wait to hear another brilliant audio adventure!

Loved it!
I always enjoy listening to a book about Zam and her pride. There's always humor, sarcasm, action, and some heartfelt emotion. I love the world and the creatures that Shannon Mayer has created. Lauren Fortgang is fantastic. I love listening to her.

Action packed and riveting listen!
Once again, the narrator, Lauren Fortgang has completely outdone herself. I absolutely love how she portrays Zam and the other characters.
It felt like I was right there beside them watching everything unfold. I found it so difficult to pause the book, so I kept doing errands and came home and cleaned so that I could continue getting lost in Zam and Mak’s journeys.
Do yourself a favor, and pick up this series. The narrator is phenomenal and literally transports you into another world.

Zam freakin' rocks!!!
Another adrenaline pumping, laugh out loud, crazy Zam adventure! Will she ever catch a break? Probably not and for that I am grateful as these stories are THE best! Maks is being held captive by the Storm Queen who wants his baby. Poor Zam is stuck with a Jinn who is just a pain in the rump and good for nothing! Every one and their mother are after her and all she wants in the world is to save her mate! Bring it on!!!

She's a Shifter, Jinn and part Dragon
You better watch out Storm Queen she's coming for you. As always Shannon did a flawless job picking up right were we left off. You are thrown into a chase to get the little Raehon away from Asaug and to get Maks back from Danni the Storm Queen. We pick up some potential allies, a little bit of possession and some love connection what could go wrong? Can't wait for the next book to drop!

It’s always something
Zamira and friends never seem to catch a break. As soon as they tackle one challenge another is thrown at them but as always, they take it in stride. They do what needs to be done to save and help the people around them. This group of characters is one of my absolute favorites and I love every bit of their adventures. Shannon has outdone herself yet again. She brings the Desert Cursed world to life with such vivid detail. I always have a hard time putting her books down. I am curious to see how she ends the next chapter in the story!

wow I love this series. I'm mad because I really want the next book and now have to wait. why can't audio come out at the same time as the book release ?? fantastic story very well written great characters. Mayer mixed the right amount of action and drama with a bit of humor. what I like most about this author is she's consistent everyone of her series is very good and well written highly recommend ANY series you choose you just can't go wrong. the performance by Fortgang is unbelievable she's a big reason why I love this series like I do Mayer's writing and Fortgang's performance is outstanding. thank you and please don't stop.

Amazing!
I cannot get enough of this world I just can’t. I devoured this one just as fast and any other of Shannon’s books. This series is fast paced and simply mind blowing. Zam, Maks and the gang continue to suck me into the desert and I never want to come up for water!
