Absolutely fun, epic, fantastical story

This book has EVERYTHING!! Action scenes, horror, fantasy, romance. It hits it out of the park!! I absolutely adored this novel. The best of Joe Hille work and rivals many of his dad’s novels. Do not hesitate to give this a listen. He killed it

amazing

you can tell Hill is his father's son in best, most classic way. This is a story that brought me to terror, tears and laughter. The primary narration was spot on in terms of tone and pathos. The supporting cast added so much to an already rich text. Well worth the time and credit for a listen

Fantastic.

This is an incredible experience of a journey that spans decades in a perfect blend of fantasy and horror. The writing in the story and the audio production are both superb.

Never has a dragon been so scary.

A really fun book

I really enjoyed this book. I love Joe's ability to write interesting characters. Plus, there are a few really great twists that I never saw coming. Overall, one of the best books I've read/listened to this year.

Never a dull moment. From the story, to the characters and finally the narration. It was stunning.

Joe Hill's masterpiece (so far)

This is an epic book with beautifully drawn characters and a keep-listening plot. Rivals the best of his dad's work, and it's a level-up book for Mr. Hill. Just finished and am getting ready to start from the beginning again.

The primary narrator is just fine. The producers, unfortunately, decided to insert a bunch of extremely low-rent sound effects and silly "full cast" scenes that bear no resemblance to the explicit scene descriptions in the book itself.

Luckily, those scenes are few and far between; unluckily, they are a blight on what is otherwise an incredible story by a master storyteller.

Absolutely remarkable, perhaps a tribute to his father. Best Novel I’ve read and listened to in years.

Really impressed. Didn’t think he could do better than NOS482 but I was wrong. Excellent read.

Great stuff. As usual.

Loved the story. Wasn’t what I expected although I had no expectations if that makes sense. Loved when the full cast dramatization portions happened.

Narration and story telling

The narration of this book was beautiful, especially King Sorrows voice. Definitely Hill’s best work.
