Before long, Hermux is receiving threatening messages, and life at the theater is getting more and more dangerous. It's up to Hermux to save the day, save the theater, protect his new friends and get the girl, a lot for one mouse to handle even with a surprisingly talented pet ladybug in tow!
Sure, there are a lot of kids' books about mice. Sure, they can talk and, mostly, they ply their adventures in the perilous world of Man. But if you haven't listened to the gallant adventures of Hermux Tantamocq then you don't know squeak!
Hermux is a mild mannered watchmaker, who loves doughnuts as much as his beloved pet cricket, Terfel. His world is charming, richly-imagined, funny as all get-out - and Human-free. In this, the first of the series, Danger comes walking in Hermux's shop - and his life will never be the same. Michael Hoeye has created a lovely mix of kid-friendly adventure and the type of humor that appeals to all ages.
Campbell Scott's narration vividly brings this world and its inhabitants to life. If there's ever a Hermux movie, he could easily play all the parts!
If you're about to embark on a family car trip, you'd have to search high and low to find a more perfect listen!
