Best-selling author Berkeley Breathed is the Pulitzer Prize-winning creator of the Bloom County and Opus comics. His unmistakable sense of humor colors every moment of Flawed Dogs. Sam the dachshund is a show dog and Heidy’s best friend, until Heidy’s uncle kicks him out of the house. Befriending other strays, Sam plots his revenge for the Westminster Dog Show.
Brilliant, funny, intense, heartbreaking (but not in the Old Yeller way, there is a happy ending). Our 14 year old loved listening to it with us-- the combination of humor, commentary on us humans, and outrageousness with a strong message. You'll never look at a dog the same again...

I’ve always been a fan of Bloom County. My memories and even current reading have always made me smile. I just recently watched “Mars Needs Moms” and was touched by a great family movie. In that, I heard about “Flawed Dogs” and has no idea what I was getting into.
I was, again, touched by a great story by a great writer. I couldn’t turn this on every day fast enough to see what happened next.
Just great. Thank you Berke.
