A moving story

This is the continuing story of best friends, Sadie and Rachel. The gift from Jasper allowed Rachel to create a new life and escape her old one with help from Sadie. Things are turning around for Rachel as she is given the job of photojournalist for National Geographic, she gets to travel with her first love to Africa, and she’s engaged! Then tragedy strikes. Rachel must help Sadie through a very difficult time while also struggling in her relationship with her daughter.

Jan Tilley, the author, weaves a story that captures the hearts and imagination of her listeners. There were several plot twists that made me gasp. However, all the plot twists were realistic and gave me an opportunity to further connect with all the main characters in the book. Both the characters and story are well balanced. The inner strength of these two women is shown repeatedly and offers hope and joy to others as we experience their struggles.

The narrator, Kristina Rothe once again performs each character’s voice with rich tones and accents appropriate to the character. She captures and projects the essence of each character including the vile and egotistical Brad. Her enunciation was clear and elicited the response of the listener accordingly.

While predictable at times, there were other more significant plot twists that were not predictable leaving the listener in shock. I genuinely enjoyed this series. Tilley and Rothe make an excellent team!

The production and quality of this audiobook were perfect. I encountered no issues; it was clear and crisp.
