I am, by no means, a critic but, I have consumed my fair share of audio content and I know what I like and don’t when it comes to both content and performance. Therefore, I am going to try and make this simple.

I believe this was supposed to be a suspense/thriller but, I found myself thrown off by the incoherence of the story and bothered by excessive, almost flowery, descriptions of the antagonist (villain). I really think this could have been a good book but, it needs work. I suppose some of my dismay comes from it being a short story; although , I generally enjoy having a short story as I am busy and don’t often find time to get carried away in a full novel. I am not a writer either so, I can’t offer any helpful advice so, I will not belabor my feelings about the story any further. As for the narration - There is not a lot that needs to be said except that the vocal artist, Mr. Amodio, was easy to listen to, his articulation is spot on making him easy to understand. His voice is pleasant and I would be interested in listening to other books that he has narrated as I feel he may have a rage of roles that he would be well suited for.

In conclusion, the book was okay for a short story, but it needs a little more work to make it a good book, and the narrator did a wonderful job.
