Publisher's summary

Picture this: You just won the Super Bowl. You’re out on the town celebrating with your teammates and best friends. And the cherry on top? You meet the sexiest woman you’ve ever seen.

Best. Night. Ever.

That is until things get going and you discover you’re suffering from a first-ever case of...performance issues.

Before you can even get a fix on your problem, poof, she’s gone, and that’s the end of that.

Game over.

Or so I thought.

Turns out, that woman I met two years ago isn’t just some random woman from a club.

She’s my team's new doctor.

As if that’s not already a penalty against me, she wants nothing to do with me now that she knows who I am.

But after our first go didn’t, well, go, I’m determined to prove myself and win a second chance with the woman I haven’t been able to stop thinking about.

Especially when she hits me with the biggest surprise of my life.

I know this new game is risky. That it could cost me everything I’ve worked impossibly hard to build for myself. Yet something tells me going up against this irresistible woman is worth the risk.

And I’m ready to play my heart out.

Terrific narration

J. Saman is one of my favorite authors. I read and listen to all her books. I'm a fan of this type of story trope. Virginia Rose is phenomenal as always and Dane Anderson is fantastic!

Sports Romance

I always love a football themed story - my one complaint would be there needed to be more football ;)
Asher and Wynter are very different but drawn to each other from the beginning, and then poof she is gone for almost 2 years. They accidentally meet again when she is assigned as his Dr for his hurt shoulder. As a NFL QB even though it's his non throwing shoulder this is a a big deal and needs the best care. But it's also a bit odd she's assigned to him, the coach is quite adamant it must be her and no one else.
She also has a surprise for Asher from their first meeting and it changes both their lives.
There's a lot of mystery, humor, and heat in this story. The narration was very good, both narrators did a fantastic job.
I recommend this listen.

Great read

It was a very good clean story, maybe a little too wordy. No cheating, no terrible twists but it had a nice plot so I give a solid 5 stars

Loved it

J Saman is a one click author for me now. I appriciate that she doesn't drone on and on in her stories.

Like the female narration but the male narration was just okay. I am picky though haha

Single Mom/Secret Baby/One Night Stand/Sports

I had the biggest smile on my face for a good portion of this book. No lie. I also cringed a couple times out of second hand embarrassment for Asher a couple time at the beginning of this book, but I seriously had the best time with this one. There was so much to love about this book, but the biggest for me was Asher and his devotion to both Wynter and Mason. He was seriously such a swoon worth male lead, I don't know how anyone wouldn't like him (though obviously everyone is entitled to their opinion (even if they are wrong)).

Ok, joking aside, Asher and Wynter were truly great characters. Yes, there is a secret baby, though when you have no idea who the father is, it's difficult to tell him about said child. I think the entire situation around the secret baby aspect of this story was handled perfectly. The way both Asher and Wynter react when they find out who the other person is, is truly the best. I loved how the relationship between Wynter and Asher developed, and I loved how they learned to communicate with each other. I loved how Asher was immediately dedicated to being a good father and I love that Wynter let him.

Honestly, the vibes of this book just worked perfectly for me, making this such an enjoyable read/listen. I've thoroughly enjoyed everything I've read from this author, and this book was no exception. You bet I will be finishing this series and continuing to read whatever else she has in store for us.
