Just OK. Not worth continuing the Series

The ex-wife reminded me of Kathy Griffin, and the new wife was more clueless than the teenage kids.

Ray Porter continues to be the man for his narration.

X-rated with droll content.

Just listening to this made me depressed, and the with detailed descriptions of sex it reminded me of one of, heck i don't know, Penthouse? To be honest, I just couldn't get through much of it.

What Happens When Everything Goes Wrong?

Meyer Dempsey has gone to great lengths to prepare for an apocalypse, but everyone from the government to his family members keep thwarting his plans. Still, as society unravels in the wake of news that aliens will arrive on Earth in five days, Meyer is undeterred. He WILL get his family from New York City to his secure bunker in Colorado.

With stellar narration from Ray Porter, Invasion is not merely a fast-paced and highly entertaining story. It explores the deeply human experience of what happens when everything goes wrong.

Cool story, disturbing narrator

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Yes. The story kept me entertained.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narrator did a good job overall, but I absolutely HATED it when he used high-pitched voice to imitate female characters. I finished the story, but I had a hard time listening to his high-pitched voice whenever a female character spoke. It was quite painful. I would be totally fine if he didn't change his pitch at all. This is a deal breaker for me to get the next book.

This book was great, it had an interesting storyline that simmered, keeping me interested the entire time without going too dark.

Should be titled road trip. Ray Porter is awesome, the story is not. I found it boring with lots of repetitive description, enough about the compound....i skipped through it waiting for something interesting, maybe involving aliens, but this is really just the authors take on how poorly Americans would handle impending uncertainty.

Well written Sci fi story!

Masterfully written story, although a predictable ending. Would make for a great tv series. Going to continue the series!
