Not really enough information to start a plan

This book seems to give you background on the practice.. and a brief description of a few types of fasting with no real “how to” for any of them.

Good explanation

The book provides a good explanation of the diet. I liked the scientific background and the way both authors came to the conclusion that this diet could work. My husband and I have been on the diet for a weeks now and it is easy to follow. I'm excited to see how our numbers have changed. My husband who needed desperately to diet, was never willing to try anything until he listen this book. I recommend it to anyone who needs to lose weight and/or improve their numbers.

Diets and you

I find this a workable food plan and I've lost a fair amount of weight with it. I have dieted for years - gained and lost a ton of weight but I seem to be able to stabilize with this food plan.

I have tried it

I still haven't had the weight loss that most people say they have had, but I have seen a difference in my waistline and I have dropped 5lbs. I have been following the 2 day plan. At this time I am more interested in the other results that could happen; memory improvement for one thing. It's relatively easy to follow so I am going to stay with it.

Interesing book

As most people I have about 15 lbs to loose around my mid section. I tried everything to no avail until my ob-gym doctor told me about this book. I listen it and it really made sense. So far within a weeks I have lost 5 lbs and it really is easy and you do not get hungry, in fact you crave the good foods for you and none of the sugars. Great book. And it works!!

I love this book. I've been using the diet eating plan for a week, and it is everything I expected--effective and easy to follow. I highly recommend it for anyone needing to lose 5-10 pounds.

Great book

This is an easy and interesting listen. I'm not sure I believe all the scientific information but the diet works if you can do it.I was able to follow it for a weeks and lost 3 pounds. Fasting is difficult but rewarding. There is the mental reward of being able to fast along with an indescribable pleasant sensation. It does help you realize you can work through hunger. My advise is follow the diet carefully - 500 cal/day twice a week. You need to get into the fasting state for it to be effective.

It works!

Listen the first two chapters and then lose weight! If you reach a plateau in losing, increase your activity and examine how much you are really consuming on fast days, and also whether you are unnecessarily overeating on other days.

The best book

Best diet ever for me. Lost 4 pounds in weeks and am able to keep off the weight gain by daily weigh-ins to monitor how I'm doing and doing the one-day fast to ensure that I'm keeping the weight off. This book is a must listen for everyone who wants to lose weight, enjoy a healthy lifestyle and not having to give up eating foods they like should listen this book.

Love It

Already trying it, and it works!!! I do not feel deprived. In fact, I feel energized and invigorated. The book is also a fascinating listen regarding the effects and benefits of intermittent fasting on the body and longevity. I highly recommend it!!

Easy listen

This really works; I tried it and 15 pounds just melted off over the course of a month. It is easy to maintain the diet since it only requires discipline and sacrifice two days per week. I have recommended it to several other people and they have all had success with it.

This works and teaches you to eat right

Highly recommend giving this book a try. It's easy and over a period of time not only will you feel better, but you learn to eat healthier in the long run. Get the Cookbook with it. Makes it more interesting and fun.

Best Diet Book Ever!

The reason that this is the best diet book ever is because it's not a diet but a way of life, and it's changed mine. I've done this on vacation, over holidays, week in, week out. It's not difficult at all, and it has helped with my arthritis. I just look at my week, pick my days, and live! Highly recommanded.

Really works!

A great book. A fast listen and it really works. You will never diet again. It's easy and teaches you that it's ok to feel hungry. It gets you out of snacking even on your non-fasting days. Glad I bought this book. Great for those pounds you just can't seem to lose.

Easier Way to Lose

I found it easier to do without than to constantly count calories. When I bought the book, I had already been dieting and exercising. It seems the method told in this book got my weight loss started again. I fast (with 500 calories) three days a week and lose two pounds. This is better than my previous results on other diets.

Good Book

This is a great book to listen, easy to understand and sounds like an easy diet to follow. But its not really a diet as much as its a mindful way of learning to eat. The bonus comes with the added health benefits that are pointed out in the book from fasting a couple days a week!

This is finally the diet I can stick to.

I bought the book, and after listening it I was motivated to try it. It's really simple, and they give you a lot of suggestions about how you can successfully do it. I'm sure I'm fasting as strictly as in the book, but I've still lost 8 lbs., It's a great book about dieting.

Just getting into it.

Just getting into it. I'm only on my 2nd day of fasting. Some really important info in this one. I've studied nutrition for decades and this has a different view backed by some large and small studies.
