Publisher's summary

This Montgomery finds his match in this touching second-chance romance from NYT best-selling author Carrie Ann Ryan.

I thought I was moving on from my divorce, but now my ex is marrying someone else. I shouldn’t be this broken up, but it’s hard to put on a brave face when my family is basically an inked-up Hallmark movie.

And I shouldn’t be brooding about what I don’t have if it’s going to cause me to fall off a roof. Right into the grumpy neighbor’s burly arms.

He’d make a nice distraction, except he wants nothing to do with the burning attraction between us. Until one accidental kiss leads to more.

I’m not ready to risk my heart again, but Killian’s tortured eyes don’t seem to give me a choice. This thing between us is real.

But Killian is still trying to recover from a tragedy. And there are people who will do anything to make sure he never finds happiness again.

I loved this book

Honestly this author is new to me and she didn’t disappoint. The story ripped out my heart and soul in the best way and I loved everything about it. Teddy Hamilton and Jacob Morgan are the absolute best. Jacob really out did himself playing Killian. The Man of many voices and he nails everyone of them in this book. Now I must look into the other 400 books in this series. :)

Loved it! Such a sweet and touching story

Audiobook review:

Narrated by Jacob Morgan and Teddy Hamilton, they truly bring the final book in the Montgomery Ink: Fort Collins series to life for me. In this book, we get Archer's story, the last sibling standing. You do not need to read/listen to the books in order, as each story is based on a different couple from the Fort Collins siblings, however, it does provide a better reading experience if you do read them in order and they are so worth reading.

If you have been reading the series, you know Archer is moving forward after his divorce, this is not a spoiler, as it is in the blurb, and trying to find his way. While starting a new project, he falls, literally, when meeting Killian. While Archer is sad and healing, he is also strong and determined. Killian is lost, vulnerable and damaged. His past haunts him and does not know how to move forward. When they meet, they find a connect in ways neither saw coming. Could they just be what the other needed?

I loved their chemistry and connection, though at first they tried to keep each other at arm's length. Their journey was emotional and touching and I loved it. And I loved seeing all the other couples and this family. Their love for each other was everything and I loved seeing this may not be the end!

Happy listening!

The Sweet and Swoony story you need to hear

This felt like a redemptive story for two people that have lost their way. Archer had thought he found the love he desired but things came crumbling down around him while the rest of his family found their happily ever afters which made things feel that much harder to him. Killian is hiding from the world after losing his wife and child and feeling the pain and guilt of being a survivor. Together these two beautiful humans find a new path and start to heal their hearts and souls. This was seriously a sweet and swoony story and I just love these two characters. The Montgomery's are always there for each other and seeing this new level was so wonderful.
Jacob Morgan and Teddy Hamilton are always a pleasure to listen to and they brought these characters to life in such a fantastic way. I was moved by the emotion they were able to bring through the text to my hears and how the story came to life through their voices.

Sorry to see this series end but happy for Archer!

On one hand, I am so sorry to see this series come to an end but on the other hand I am so happy that Archer got his HEA. In this emotional read, this branch of the Montgomery Ink comes to an end but it does open the door for the future of the series.

Archer, divorced and feeling like a third wheel while his siblings and friends are moving forward with their lives through having kids and relationships and working through the aftermath of the emotional abuse that his ex husband put him through, takes on a cabin remodel job. On the first day of the job he meets the gruff neighbor by falling on him in what starts to be him really falling for him.

Killian, haunted by events of his past, is avoiding the world as he grieves what he has lost in life while building a cabin next door to where Archer is working. He has retreated from those who care for him while he fights his memories and feelings all while slowly fighting how he feels for Archer as he returns to the living.

This was an emotional roller coaster of a read that had some amazing supportive characters through the return of the characters from the previous series and the new character from this book - Penny and Killian's dog Cora. This well written read had me rooting for this pair from the start and leaving me wanting more. The chemistry between the Archer and Killian was off the charts as well.

The narration by Jacob Morgan and Teddy Hamilton was performed well. This pair did a great job bringing this story to life making this an enjoyable listening experience.

Overall, this was a great read that I enjoyed from start to finish. I would recommend this book and all of the books in this series as I look forward to seeing what Ms. Ryan has in store next with the Montgomery Ink series/legacy.

Amazing story

Wow this was such an emotional story that will give you all the feels. Carrie Ann Ryan did an incredible job depicting Killian’s pain and loss with her words that brought tears to my eyes and Jacob Morgan was fantastic in his narration and bringing it to life. I also loved Teddy Hamilton’s narration of Archer who experienced his own heartbreak. Such a fantastic listen and I love the Montgomery family.

Sweet!

I absolutely loved Archer and Killian's meet cute and the grumpiness Killian portrayed. Both men had such hurtful pasts that they were trying to move on from that they needed each other to heal and move on. I loved visiting all of the Montgomery's and while I haven't read each book, it was nice seeing the entire family.

Perfection!!!!

Another great addition to the Montgomery clan books!
Each book had its own appeal but Killian and Archer's story absolutely tore at my heart and put it back together.
The author gave us very strong characters who both had heart break but what each was went through was so different it really worked. Watching them work through their own lives to find happiness in each others arms was intense and addicting. I went through it in less than 2 days and I should mention that I listened to this on audible and OMG, the narration was perfect.
A lot of times the narrator just doesn't add up to the characters for me and it takes away from my imagination. But, the narration was exactly what I imagined and brought it to life.
I can never get enough of the Montgomery clan and with this book, I don't think I can ever get bored either. Luckily there are a ton of them to enjoy!

Archer ♥️ Killian

These narrators just breathe life into these characters. They were so on point.
What a great meet cute for Archer and Killian! Talk about “falling” for each other. Marc just dimmed Archer’s light. We all saw it. My heart ached for Killian. Both men were broken in some way and together they helped each other and brought each other back to life. It was great to have our Archer Montgomery back. And Penny and Cora. What’s not to love about a meddling hippie and a three legged dog.😂 The last of this generations Montgomery to find his true HEA. I adored Killian and Archer together.

My favorite M/m romance

Inked Temptation has become my favorite
m/m story.
From the moment that Asher Montgomery fell on Killian I was captivated and couldn't stop listening. Jacob Morgan and Teddy Hamilton were the perfect narrators.
This is the last book of the Montgomery's Fort Collins. Asher and Killian will live rent free in my mind.
can't wait to see what next for the Montgomery's
