Doctor or Daddy? There's no way Dr. Greer can be both.
He's my patient.
He's off-limits.
He's a twenty-one-year-old young man who's battled with Hodgkin lymphoma throughout adolescence. Given two years of complete remission, Austin Villiers should be out there living his best life. Instead, he walks the wings of the cancer treatment center, spreading hope and smiles.
My patients' lives aren't the only ones he touches. His presence reminds me why I chose this path years ago. But I have feelings for this boy that goes against everything I believe in. He doesn't make it easy when he reveals his virgin heart belongs to me.
It's been a long time since I've wanted to be called Daddy. Austin brings back all those protective tendencies. But how can I break the simplest rule of being a medical practitioner by dating a patient?
Contains mature themes.

SPOILERS
My only issue with this book is the fact that the doctor decides to go to his supervisor and talk about being in a relationship with his patient and getting permission. to me that was the stupidest thing throughout the whole book. first of all, they weren't in a relationship as doctor and patient, the patient didn't even know how he felt before being blindsided walking into the center and being called to speak with the head supervisor. so I don't understand why the doctor tell his boss about them without first speaking to the patient to even see whether or not he want to be in a relationship, because the way they made it sound throughout this entire book as if though they were in a relationship and then he decided to do the right thing and went to his boss and get permission and send his patient to be under another doctor. That did not happen that way so why they allow the story to play out this way? it was beyond me and it was very frustrating. the patient happened so to be with him when he went and got a meal, he took the patient home because the mom was running late picking him up, that does not constitute y'all being in a relationship. and the fact that the patient kissed him the night before he went to his supervisor also don't constitute them being in a relationship. nothing physically happened between them and they never discussed going into a relationship so I don't know why they allow everyone to feel as though they were in a relationship before he was recommended to another doctor and before he let his boss know. you can't help who you fall in love with, and I feel like he followed a proper chain. The fact that before they were even physical or even had a discussion about getting into a relationship. he was already under another doctor and he had already spoken to his boss ahead of time. that's the way the story should have went, that I went to my boss because I wanted to pursue a relationship with a former patient. not a current one because he was not your current patient before y'all got into a relationship. UGh!!!
Great Book! But Why lol

Iggy Toma rocked out this narration. His voice really brought this book and it's characters to life. hopefully, the start of a wonderful series.
Sweet story

“You need to tell the Doctor how you feel.”
Wait… What?!!! lol.
This was a cute romance and captured my attention. However, I felt their relationship was inappropriate; not because the Doctor/patient part, but because of the age gap and that the patient had no chance to be independent to live on his own and get a job or go to school. I did not think the daddy kink relationship was right for him.
A lot of romance novels are unrealistic and angsty but this crossed a line into campy. I laughed at parts that were not meant to be funny.
It was a great palate cleanser between serious books. I will probably continue with the series because of the narrator, Iggy.
