This is Hal Rayle’s first audiobook. This book opens up a new sound for the recorded novel market. Hal has created a new genre in his recording facility called “book imaging”. He not only reads the written word but uses multiple voices and a smattering of sound effects to afford the listener a theater-of-the-mind experience. That said...sit back and enjoy.

Enjoyable listen

The story good but what made it great for me was the narration & sound effects. Can't wait for book 2.

Good Start to Sci-Fi LitRPG Series

Inheritance is a fun and, once it really gets going, fast-paced Sci-Fi LitPRG adventure. The character makes several stupid mistakes, but is generally believable. The disconnect in understanding, both by the main character about how things work in this expanded universe he is now inhabiting and of the world he comes from by the people who developed the modules to train people from Earth about what they can do, makes for some humorous moments. The narration is generally pretty good, and the range of voices impressive. The only downsides are that the narrator alters the pace a bit overly dramatically when switching from restful to active actions and the unnecessary and somewhat inconsistent use of sound effects. Overall very enjoyable and looking forward to more in the series!

No Multitasking

I drove through the night and this book and voice acting kept me up. I didn't want to stop listening and sleep even after listing for 8 hours straight. The voice acting is on point! The story keeps you at the edge of your seat. I usually will put a book on and go about my day.... This book kept me riveted to it. No multitasking with this book!

Loved It! The sound effects were a little weird but worked. Can't wait for the next one!!!!
