Publisher's summary

A power vacuum up for grabs. A path forward is offered. Rally behind the future.

The Aberrants have been pushed off their throne, and the Allied Towns, freed from the clutches of their oppressive rulers, have the opportunity to flourish. Yet, unexpected perils test the mettle of the indomitable Dreg Warriors, and things begin to spiral out of control.

As the Bunker Busters come to terms with their growing magic, even dangerous opportunities are sought after to help the forward march through the Quotients.

Equipped with formidable weapons and bound by unbreakable bonds, Ronan sets out to bridge the chasm of fear ingrained in the hearts of Earth's denizens.

Feels like a Narrated D&D Campaign

Performance:
Gabriel Michael does a great job here. Not a lot to critique.

Story:
Loving this series and I love it more with each entry. This one really started to feel like a D&D campaign, very similar to the Axe Druid series. Except, you know, with mostly competent players.

Ronin constantly over invests and earns his title of "Rocks for Brains" multiple times but always gets the job done. The world unfolds and we learn lots more about the magic system. I love the fact that the world building literally happens from a small bunker and radiates outward. As the characters learn more about the world it is revealed to the reader as well without excessive exposition.

fun apocalypse twist.

I really like the twist on surviving the apocalypse that this series has. it's a nice mix of all the apocalyptic tropes with a great magic system thrown on top.
