Great romantic suspense!

3rd yr college student, Essa Brant, is the ultimate good girl. As an only child to overachieving parents, Essa does what her parents want, including giving up spending her summer in NYC with her bff. That all changes when Essa’s bff, Haven, is kidnapped. Essa teams up with Haven’s hunky older brother...the mysterious Farren...to find Haven. As Essa and Farren spend time together, feelings grow but will this couple have an HEA or will the bad guys win? This ends in a cliffy, but book 2 is out and queued up!!!

A perfect blend of story and character!

I LOVED listening to this story! It is full of suspense and action! That is right up my alley! Then add in delicious, intriguing and animated characters and I am sold!

The characters really drew me in. Not just Farren (the mysterious, hot older brother) but the innocence and vivaciousness of Haven and Essalin (cool name BTW). They all are full fledged characters that change and grow as the story unfolds. I don’t want to forget to mention the evil guys because without them there would be no story.

Overall I am overly pleased with this story and cant wait to dig in to the next one! I did listen to this on audio. Keira Stevens did a wonderful job being all the different characters. That Epilogue!!! OMG its exactly what should be in there...especially with a second book coming out.

Wanted to like it

I really wanted to like this book. Unfortunately I found the exchanges between the two main characters immature for adults and the main woman character to be incredibly naive. Some of the exchanges felt like high school/ middle school. The narrator did a good job but I got through a couple hours and I couldn’t take the confusion of the story line/ plot or the character’s total disregard that their loved one is missing but yet the main woman character is more concerned with what the male character does and if they are going to have a romp in the sack. I couldn’t finish the book and I hate doing that. This is a good author but for whatever reason I couldn’t get into this story.

Exciting and on Edge

I received this audiobook free, as an Audiobook Obsession Reviewer, for an honest review. This book kept me on the edge. I couldn't stop listening. Looking forward to more in this series. The author mixed suspense, romance and angst all in one book. There were twists and turns you didn't expect. The narrator did a great job with the individual characters.
