Second chance, Triangle Romance

This was the first book I've read/listened to by Jennifer Ann. I'm trying to decide if I'd give her another chance. First I'm not a romance triangle fan and usually skip those books. This was easier since the was an evil guy and a good guy. I'm super sensitive to cheating. With that said, many will not see this as cheating since Quinn is engaged to someone evil with no love loss. I don't want to give too much information with spoilers so I'll end it there. But I'm pretty black and white with little to no gray area with the subject so any cheating ruins a story for me.

THE SECRETS BETWEEN US is a second chance, triangle romance including twin brothers. One brother is evil, the other is good. There is suspense leading up to the secrets being revealed. There is a lot of reliving the past in a day dream fashion. I didn't *feel* any happiness in the story, so for me, it was mostly dark and sad. My heart ached and I just wanted them to let the secrets out. Communicate. Lincoln and Quinn have a HEA.


Troy Duran and Keria Stevens are excellent narrators. I think that they were the reason I could hold on and finish the audio. They are passionate in their performances, so easy to listen to.

Secrets swirl in this angsty New Adult romance

I chose this audiobook because I wanted to try an angsty romance to see if I would like it. While I appreciate the excellent writing and slow revealing of secrets, this angsty romance is not quite my cup of tea. This would be perfect for readers who enjoy angsty TV dramas about people in their 20s.

It's been seven years since Cameron (the lady) and Lincoln (the guy) last saw each other at their high school prom. They had been deeply in love, but something terrible happened at that prom, and they went their separate ways. Seeing each other again brings back all of the good and bad high school memories and reveals some twisted choices that they had made in life. The sexual tension simmered between them in this slower-burn but steamy story.

The pair of narrators did an excellent job. Troy Duran and Keira Stevens perfectly captured this young, vivacious couple. Troy Duran had such a deep, gravelly, and sexy voice for Lincoln and was very good at women’s voices. Keira Stevens has such a lovely voice for Cameron, and she is equally versatile at women’s and men’s voices. Both narrators perfectly conveyed all the emotions and the simmering sexual tension.

An amazing ride!

I went into this book totally blind. I was just ready for my next listen. Let me tell you this book DID NOT disappoint. It was packed with everything from a badass hero, second chance romance, and of course a villain you hate to love. (Or should I say, villains) I found myself rooting for two characters the entire time. It was an amazing ride!

Great Read

The Secrets Between Us was a great read by Jennifer Ann. Cameron and Lincoln were high school sweethearts that haven't been together for seven years. They both keep secrets but for different reasons. He left for the Navy and after seven years comes back, but life has changed drastically for the both of them. I absolutely loved reading Cameron and Lincoln's story and can't wait to read more by Jennifer Ann.

Secrets, lies and love

This book is action packed with twin brothers who one is good and one is evil and the lies and secrets they have both kept for years and the girl that they both want for different reasons.

Lincoln and Quinn (Cameron) were sweethearts in high school but they were ripped apart years ago and Quinn blames herself. Lincoln was trying to protect her to come back years later to find she has betrayed him with his brother. Kellen has his own agenda and he will stop at nothing to get what he wants.

This book has lots of twists and turns and it kicks back to the past throughout to fill in the blanks. I really enjoyed listening to it.
Troy Duran and Keira Stevens did a good job narrating this book. I enjoyed listening to both of them.
