This was great!..except one thing

I’ve listened to romantic, sexually based novels before and ‘If I Only Knew’ is probably one of the best..except one thing that always drives me crazy with chapters that are shared. In this case ‘Nicole’ who has a horrible tragedy with 2 children and enter ‘Myloe’ British, sexy and the brother of her boss.

Mind you it’s a great story and I definitely did not stop listening even when the sun came up. The sex scenes for me were outstanding, and this book was basically timid to most of Audibles sexy romantic..wow..I can’t even think about the ones I’d be REALLY blushing about! Anyway, the author Corinne Micheals not only had great sex scenes but truly excellent dialogue! Some of it could only be written by a mother, wife, lover & one with a true sense of humor, that’s why it was great!

Okay the only little bit that drives me nuts with combined narration is this. ‘Nicole’ had the majority of the chapters by Sophie Eastlake, brilliant, and then comes in the beautiful, sexual, British, voice of ‘Myloe’ by Shane East. Let’s face it..in reality Sophie could do every single voice depiction and there was nothing taken away from the story but in comes Shane’s voice..he could obviously depict himself and his brother but that was it. Yes I’m being picky because when he tried to sound like an American woman he just couldn’t and when you have this highly sexually based story, you need to keep that same narration going. Do I make sense? I just wish when there are books with 2 narrators why not use them in each chapter? Why do we have to hear two different voices for the same person. It’s always been a pet peeve of mine..but I guess that’s why I’m not in charge of audiobooks😊

That was my “one little thing” and I doubt it will change 🤷‍♀️..but definitely so romantic, so much heat too ❤️❤️

it was very sweet and not filled with too much drama or an intelligent heroine who goes dumb midway thei the book at the first sign of conflict. great character's, great read and awesome narrator's.

What a treat! After the audio ended I immediately restarted it, I truly couldn’t get enough of it!

Corinne Michaels provides heart, bravado, and one of her best story lines to date! Whenever I pick up one of her books I know I’m getting the best quality and If I Only Knew, solidified this.

The narrators brought Dani & Milo to life which is so important seeing as these are two very passionate and rational characters. Their dialogue took on a life of its own and Sophie Eastlake & Shane East made sure of it!

Dani is going through one of the biggest losses of her life and Milo swooped in like a white knight. Not that she needed saving, cause she didn’t, but he offered her a companionship that she didn’t know she needed. Milo too finds the same in Dani but when faced with his own arising conflict things definitely will be shaken up.

This audio/book is my FAVE out of this series of standalones. Milo Huxley cannot be topped, trust me when I say this audio is worth every single second just to hear him say “darling” anything really!

The emotion of this story is only elevated by experiencing it in audible first. The depth and connection to the characters have me addicted and ready to re -listen. There’s a connection you feel while listening to Danielle and Milo and this one is intense! The narration by Sophie Eastlake and Shane East is pure perfection.
Danielle is navigating her new normal and Milo is there to get his back .These two have more in common than they realize.
DID I MENTION BRITISH ACCENT. Yes wipe the drool as you go . Hope you’re ready for some genuine humor , serious situations and one sexy as hell Brit! Settle in and enjoy this one. My new favorite . All The stars!

Fantastic Narration....Amazing Story

To be able to "read" a book through a narrator can make or break a story/book. I'm going to break my review down like this:

Narrators: If I Only Knew's narrators were spot on for what I had "pictured" Danielle and Milo. They made the story with how they brought the characters to life.

Story: Ms. Michaels never disappoints with her books. Her characters continue to be strong females and strong males.....Milo is arrogant and has a plan but Danielle has her own plan and goal and she will achieve that at all cost.

I look forward to reading the book and re-listening to the audio book. If I Only Knew is a must for your audio library.

I'm speechless

I'm absolutely speechless. Can't say enough amazing things about this Audio book. The narrators are fabulous. Already what to listen to it again. Corinne has another great book. Love Milo and Dani's story. So thankful to get advance copy of this audiobook.

Cheesy to the extreme

I am all for cheesy romance but this is wayyy to much and impossible that it gets annoying

Sooooo good

I loved this book. this was my first time using audible, and I couldn't have been more happy with how it turned out. I was afraid that I wouldn't enjoy it as much as reading my self, but the 2 readers were absolutely great. will definitely recommend.

Beautiful amazing story!!

I love everything about this book!! Danielle and her amazing friends, the challenges raising her teenager Ava, sweet Parker her son and of course Milo!!

Corinne Michael’s writes such beautiful stories!! These characters and the story of how they get to be together is fantastic!!

The audiobook and narrators were amazing as well!

Utterly Fantastic NARRATORS!!

Danielle and her situation is heavy not going to lie I was a little worried because sometimes when a book starts off like that it can be filled with a lot of drama. But that wasn’t the case at all.

I really enjoyed the way Corinne gave these characters emotional growth. Yes, they have this heaviness they have to work through but there were light times and funny times. Life has to move on even if our hearts and minds are not ready to.

Milo, he stole the book for me. I loved his grit his wit and his determination but I also really enjoyed how human he was. He and his brother’s relationship is a complicated one and they might not always see eye to eye but they do have each other’s best interests at heart.

The chemistry between Danielle and Milo was awesome, the way he was there for her it just sealed the deal for me. I enjoyed this whole story and I for one didn’t want it to end.

The narration was FANTASTIC, the female narrator doing the accent worked! The male narrator perfect couldn’t ask for a better duo.

Im just in love with this series so much❤️❤️‍🔥

The last book in the series, I can't believe it's over so quickly 🥺

This book is a continuation of what happens in Danielle Louise's life.
Danielle's husband was shot and killed in his office, and she is completely crushed and forced to adapt to her new reality - a young widow with 2 children.

Callum (Nicole's husband from the previous book), employs her and now she's the CEO's right hand, and does not allow her to sink into her tragedy.
Until.. Callum's brother - Milo Huxley - bursts into the office and demands she'll get out because this job belongs to him, Danielle of course is not moved by him and directs him to the exit because the chair belongs to her👑

I can go on with these amazing quotes all day, I wish I could highlight every exciting part of this book that I heard on audio.

I think this is the most beautiful book of the whole series, from book to book the author surpasses herself and she won my heart.
Milo's character surprised me so much, his sensitivity towards Danielle's situation.
And Danielle is totally a fighter she made my list of favorite strong women!
I recommend the whole series and hope it will be translated in Israel because it is a series you should not miss, exciting, funny, melts hearts and gives hope for a second chance for love ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I just love this type of story. it made me laugh, it made me cry, it made my day. Corinne oncore. more, more, more

A beautifully written story.

I enjoyed every single minute of this story. The banter between the girl friends, the brothers and the couples. I especially love interactions with the children, they make the story realistic. A teenager acting out and a six year old that is so sweet smart and innocent tha you just want to listen to him forever. There are some sad elements of the story but overall it is beautiful and engaging with great chemistry between the couple.

Sibling Rivalry, Love, Loss, Second Chance Romance

A second chance romance filled with the themes of difficult siblings, loss, love, and a lovely set of narrators. This is a 'mature' romance where the main characters actually have life experience. She has children and had a life before meeting the guy. Even the side characters have personalities (probably due to the fact that they also have their own stories in other books, not needed to enjoy this one). Our leading lady has actual friends who have their own personalities. The male is not instantly likeable. At times the story is a bit sappy, but it is a love story.

The story and narrators are good enough that I ended up fighting tears more often than I would have liked. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys contemporary romance. A decent amount of steam, without being over the top. (Halfway through before they "do the deed").

One usual problem when using multiple narrators for each chapter with different point of view (POV) is that sometimes the different narrators have to do each other's voices. And it is just gets weird at times.

Enjoyable

I enjoyed this mature love story. Not the usual ‘misunderstanding causes friction’ type story but a believable problem causing an issue in a relationship. A refreshing change in modern romance stories.
