Publisher's Summary

You know those stories where an adorably misunderstood, clumsy girl needs a fake date to a wedding so she asks her brother’s best friend and they accidentally fall in love? I wish that was the kind of life I lead, but it’s not.

I don’t need a date to a wedding. I need a date to a funeral. Clumsy sometimes fits, but then, that’s true for all of us, right? But adorable? No. Misunderstood? Nope again. I’m just your average girl, standing in front of a funeral invitation, asking it to be a winning lottery ticket instead.

And I don’t have a brother, or a best friend with a brother available, which means I’m stuck with Tyler Jaeger. Sure, he’s a professional hockey player who also knows advanced calculus, but let’s say we’re not compatible and leave it at that. I should know. I am a matchmaker. Not a very good one, but that’s beside the point. I know a mismatch when I see one.

Still, Tyler’s what I’ve got, and I am not going to this funeral solo, so he’s what I’ll take. After all - what could go wrong at a funeral?

I Pucking Love You is a hilariously wrong romantic comedy about the world’s worst matchmaker, a hockey player with a problem he doesn’t want to talk about, and an awkward date of convenience that everyone would prefer to forget. It comes complete with a cat working his way through his nine lives, all the sexy times, fish and chips, and a swoony happily-ever-after.

Sweet and Funny

I don't usually like books where characters suffer with low self-esteem or body image issues, but this one was done really well. It was a wonderful feel good book about the value and worth of all women and the men who are brave enough to love them. It was funny and very enjoyable!

Narration doesn’t help

I’ve never been a fan of Emma’s narration but I enjoy Pippa’s books so I thought I would give it a whirl. The story was sweet and funny and I think I would like it better if I read it. Emma’s voice just made Muffy sound was more whiny and her insecurities started to annoy me mid way through the book. Also, I had to deduct points when I heard Emma say gif like jif instead of with the hard g. LOL. Sorry, pet peeve... it’s GIF not JIF.
Also, I think this book was a bit too long. Her quirks weren’t endearing enough to suffer through 9 plus hours of listening. But again, maybe it was the narrator.

Muffy is all of us

Muffy is all of us

Like always, Pippa Grant strikes the perfect balance of humor, heart and hope. I loved this story and I loved seeing perfectly imperfect Muffy find someone who loved her just how she was. More importantly, I loved seeing Muffy love herself. This book filled my heart and soothed the parts of my soul where I feel less than. It’s a gift.

The narration by Emma Wilder and Aiden Snow was superb. I could listen to either of them read me an instruction manual all day long but together they are magical.

I pucking loved it!

I liked this book when I read it, but I LOVED it once I heard the audio book! The narrators did a fabulous job of bringing Tyler and Muffy to life! The crazy, chaos, and hilarity was listening perfection! I swooned and laughed and can’t wait to see what happens next in the Pippaverse! The epilogue was so adorable too! It really melted my heart. Bravo!

Ouch.

Expected a good book based on reviews, but it was forced listening to chapter six. Female narrator’s voice annoying. Male narration ok but this character totally obsessed with his sexual go nowhere issue. Boredom continued non stop. Wished I could have returned this one.

An unexpected feeling of a love story.

I really enjoyed the narration of Aiden Snow and Emma Wilder. I docked a star for the pronunciation of gif. I AM THAT KIND OF PERSON.

Now while I though some of the story was sort of drawn out, what really stood out was how well Tyler and Muffy were for each other. How the balance they didn’t think they were searching for, was really each other.

I liked that Tyler wasn’t a superstar. That he also had those kind of quirks that hockey players can have, yet also be a man among boys. I don’t know how intentional Tyler was written, but Pippa Grant really blew me away with him realizing why Muffy was so down on herself and trying to help her correct those toxic behaviors. My heart SOARED when he took her away from her mom. It kept soaring when Muffy started realizing, albeit slowly, that she was more than a product of her mother and father. That she is worthy of love, friendship and success. All on her terms.

Just a very good book for me. It’s important to have heroines that grow sometimes on their own and sometimes a guy just happens to be there for the ride.

Side note: the epilogue was hilarious.

My new favorite couple

Previously I wasn’t the biggest fan of Muffy’s but now, I pucking love her!
I’ve always liked Tyler because his family is freaking awesome. Now I totally love him for “getting” Muffy he understands her and appreciates for her real self & that’s the best quality in a man!

Standalone in a series

I love the characters in this book. Pippa writes the best Hero’s, I love how Tyler stands up for Muffie. It did take me a little while to get into this story though. The issues the characters have in this book are different than any other book I’ve listened to. The narration was great. I definitely recommend this book. 🎧Audiobook Obsession

Tyler & Muffy!

First, I have to say I love quirky, and you can't get much more quirky than Muffy. She owns a matchmaker company and her unorthodox way of finding a match is finally starting to work. But success still is a ways a way, and leaving her college education for this may be questionable. When she has to go back to her college town for a funeral, she isn't going to go alone. She needs a date. Tyler is a cranky hockey player, mainly because ever since his one night stand with Muffy, things have not been the same. Now is the chance to find out if she is the missing ingredient. A date with her should do it. But what happens next is nothing short of magic...and tragedy....and hysterical laughter. Pippa Grant has created my favorite couple of this series with these two. Tyler turns into the most swoony, attentive boyfriend ever and he just melts my heart. Muffy is an easy character to relate to, with her trip ups, and her genuineness, she is extremely likeable. And Grant's sense of humor had me laughing out loud! It's sports and romance, entrepreneurship and facing your fears and most of all finding your soulmate. The perfect listen to keep things light and happy, and as you listen, everyone will want to know why you are smiling!

Emma Wilder and Aiden Snow are the perfect cast for this book. Between their wonderful voices and incredible comedic timing, it is a winner! Wilder picks up all Muffy's insecurities with the nuances in her voices and makes you feel and understand her so easily. Snow is broody in the beginning and we feel the change with Tyler as the story goes with the inflections of his voice. Fabulous team to tell this story.
