Story
In Joel's Schwartzberg's 10-plus years as a strategic communications trainer, the biggest obstacle he's come across - one that connects directly to nervousness, stammering, rambling, and epic fail - is that most speakers and writers don't have a point. They typically have just a title, a theme, a topic, an idea, an assertion, a catchphrase, or even something much less. This book shows you how to identify your point, leverage it, stick to it, and sell it and how to train others to identify and successfully make their own points.

Logic is synonymous with reason, judgment, sense, wisdom, and sanity. Being logical is the ability to create concise and reasoned arguments - arguments that build from given premises, using evidence, to a genuine conclusion. But mastering logical thinking also requires studying and understanding illogical thinking, both to sharpen one's own skills and to protect against incoherent or deliberately misleading reasoning. Elegant, pithy, and precise, Being Logical breaks logic down to its essentials through clear analysis, accessible examples, and focused insights.

A little dated in style but material is ageless...
Ok, I agree with some of the reviews---a little corny. But actually, this style is undergoing a revival so don't dismiss it too quickly---ala Mad Men?
I got a lot from this book. I needed to learn to shut the hell up and not talk so much. Make the point and shut up.
The book helped me with that. Buy it.

This is not the Audiobook!
I purchased this audiobook and companion to the actual book because in my reading practice I like to follow along my read with the physical book as well as listening. To my surprise this is not the audiobook version of the book.
So extremely frustrating they just grab glimpses of the book and you have to constantly be jumping from page to page without knowing exactly where to go. Extremely confusing and obviously leading to not grasping the concept of what is being taught.
Very misleading

A bit fast paced.
Nice book with a nice message, but a bit rushed I think, at times the voices were talking a bit fast for me. An educational book shouldn’t be rushed, but take time to walk you through it. Otherwise seems like a nice book, though even the audible membership price is a bit steep for the length of the book.

Not worth nearly $10 on audible
This book covers the basics in about 45 minutes. For a $10 audiobook I expect to get more time & insights for the price. The recording itself is hokey which often distracts from the points it attempts to make. The principles are decent yet VERY basic and could be found via Google search for free...don't waste your money.

if only this book had been 30 seconds or less
a real waste of money
at only 44 minutes long I struggled to make it to the end.
annoying sound effects and using different people to do 'audio quotes' made the listening experience painful. SO much so any useful ideas were lost to me.
if you buy the idea you need to be able deliver impactful messages in sales and/or management in 30 seconds, in principal this book is for you. So knowing you need to prepare, practice and ensure you focus of the key messages will be as helpful as this book will ever be and frankly a lot less annoying
