Good Book in a Great Series
This is the longest and least entertaining story in the four part Treehouse series. which means that it's still quite good. Unfortunately the author spends far too much time repeating the same phrases and interactions; I began to anticipate and fast forward every time Sara said "I'm from a small town in Ohio." I happen to be from a small town in the mountains of Virginia; I'm an out lesbian and I dated girls, and okay boys too, in high school. While it's true that my selection was far more limited as was my support system, it does happen for girls, even in a small town. Okay, I'll come down off my soapbox now and finish the review. The climatic scene feels contrived and the idea that no one blames Sara for her part in their breakup scene. On the plus side, this series is very well written, the minor characters are likable and come off as real; this whole series is worth the time and the cost.
