Publisher's Summary

If I had to pick a bride of convenience, my first choice would not be Peach Maloney.

My 50th choice would not be Peach. Top spot on my list of occupational hazards? Yes. Royal pain in the crumpets? Yes. A bride of convenience? No.

But I've unexpectedly gone from royal bodyguard to monarch, having inherited a crown that was stolen from my family long before my birth. The kicker of this unexpected royal gift? In order to take the throne, I must find a wife.

Have I mentioned Peach would not have been my hundredth choice? But I've no other options, and she needs a favor that my new position can fulfill quite nicely. So we've agreed to play the doting newlyweds out in public.

In private, though, our rules are simple: No touching. No talking. And certainly no sex.

I should have known better than to marry a rule-breaker. Contains mature themes.

Damn Hot Air Balloons

Super cute! One reviewer said they laughed the whole time, I will tell you that there was some funny parts in the book but I have laughed harder at a couple of other books by Pippa. BUT just because I didn’t laugh through this whole book does not mean I did not enjoy it!

Good despite it had parts which dragged.

You will get a good laugh out of this. but then it drags in spots. I never did find a spot of liking for the teen.

Hot Heir

This was my first Pippa Grant book and I found it quite entertaining. The humor was quite refreshing. The plot moved along very well and had substance. I would have loved it to be more in depth with interactions with the people of Amoria, but that didn’t diminish the quality of the book. As for narration, Emma Wilder was as usual excellent. Stephen Dexter is one of my favorite narrators; but I found for this book the accent he tried to use was distracting. I would have enjoyed it much more is he wouldn’t have tried to use such a strong accent. Something subtle would have been better

Laughed out loud

Really enjoy Pippa Grant's (& the combination works with Lili Valente) stories, this one is laugh out loud, funny and not too short!

Fantastic story in the series

Enjoyed this take on the fake marriage of convenience trope with Viktor and Peach! So glad that Viktor got his own story and we got more of him and Peach! This was a really fun read. enjoyed the narrators on the audiobook as well. They fit the characters really well and helped make listening enjoyable.

Thor this was annoying

One of the worst books I’ve listened to in a long long time - very annoying characters

No chemistry and just cringy overall

"Talleywacker","knob", "twig and berries", "my lady" and the accents all incredibly cringy. I usually enjoy Stephen Dexter but he's terrible with accents, sounded like the butler not a strong king, hated it. I did not find this humorous at all, maybe the constant use of knob, etc was the funny part? No chemistry between the main characters. Seriously, not great.

One of my favorite books!

I started and stopped Book a time or two, because just busy with kids and thought Book started a little slow in the first chapter. I am so thankful I continued because it is one of the sweetest and funniest books I have ever listened too! it's definitely one of my all time favorites!

A whacky little love story

If you’ve read any other Pippa Grant you’ll know what to expect here, a cute story with some humor (although this one was on the weak side for me), bizarre characters, low angst and a happy ending. The story was ok, but the male narrator wasn’t for me.

Peach & Victor

Pippa Grant is one of my fav authors ever. Hot heir was so funny but also quite sweet. Absolutely loved Emma Wilder and Stephen Dexter’s performance as they gave life to the characters in a tremendous way.

This needs a warning label

I’m going to do you a favour here do not eat or drink while listening. You won’t want to pause it I didn’t and ended up wearing my drink after a particular funny part.

This one is such a fantastic story with 2 characters made to be together and plenty of brilliant side characters

Absolutely spot on

I had belly ache from laughing. The balloon rides, the llama, the hearts, the tacky tacky hearts and the crazy people. Especially Victor and Peach.

hilarious enemies to lovers

At last Peach and Viktor get their own story and what a rollercoaster it is. With reclaiming a lost throne, hot air balloon rides, a marriage of convenience there's plenty to keep you gripped to this story. (Oh I nearly forgot about the llamas!)
Excellent narration throughout, especially Viktor's description of his naughty parts!!!! Highly recommended 💕💕💕💕

Not the best of the series

This would have been a good story if not for the lame British characters. I am British myself and was really disappointed with the silly accent and dialogue. You can not have a lead male character speaking as though he is an elderly uncle. Who talks like that anyway. I wish Pippa had made Victors character more believable. I get that his character is royalty however he is more like 90+ year old Prince Philip rather than a hunky Prince Harry! haven’t listened to Gracie and Manning’s story yet and I really hope it isn’t similar. Loved all the other books so far by Pippa.
