Something strange is happening at the Orsk furniture superstore in Cleveland. Every morning, employees arrive to find broken Kjerring wardrobes, shattered Brooka glassware, and vandalized Liripip sofa beds—clearly someone, or something, is up to no good. To unravel the mystery, five young employees volunteer for a long dusk-till-dawn shift and encounter horrors that defy imagination. Along the way, author Grady Hendrix infuses sly social commentary on the nature of work in the new 21st-century economy.

A traditional haunted house story in a contemporary setting, and full of current fears, Horrorstör delivers a high-concept premise in a unique style.

A well narrated story, by both Sammons and Pinchot. Easy to follow plot-line with likable characters. A nice summertime listen.

Fun Story and Great Narration

I genuinely enjoyed this audiobook! The narrator wasn’t my favorite at the beginning and then I fell into it and I couldn’t stop listening. I loved how the level of creepy just kept ramping up and even as the book closed I found myself on the edge. When Basil told Amy not to look in the cribs my skin crawled. I love this audiobook.

Just finished this one. What a fun read. I really liked how the product descriptions, advertisements / commercials, changed in nature as the story progressed.

A fun listen

The story is well written, but the performance from the woman ruins the intensity of the story. Could have been better.

Much promise, but the performance from the woman ruins it.

and then goes in a totally different direction. I really liked the beginning and the end, and the chapter intros were very atmospheric and increasingly spooky as the book went on. But somehow the book just failed to fully click with me.

Sets up an interesting mystery...
