Really enjoyed this fascinating tale of horror and dark fantasy.

Just my type of suspense & horror.

The Hillary Hubert, the narrator was great. Her voice interpretations for each character are impeccable!! She's the driving force and what makes any book she narrates for so worth listening to. At first when I started The Twisted Ones, I hadn't understood why it was kinda "witty" to be a classified as a horror book, but I I swear Hillary will have you laughing out loud on some parts...or maybe because I have a dark sense of humor....or maybe because the main character reminds me of myself. Anyway, I loved the book T. Kingfisher! Thank you Hillary Hubert for your amazing and talented audio input for if you hadn't I don't think I could have followed it as well.

pleasant surprise

got this book on sale.......it is freaking AMAZING. I loved every second of the book. I look forward to other books by the author

Re-takes

the story was really good, and the narrator did a good job immersing me in the tale. the only thing that took me out of it was the re-takes they did. it sounds like they were done in a completely different space and are very distracting. if it weren't for that, I'd give 5☆ all the way.

Just..... WOW

This is one of the first “Horror Stories” I’ve given a chance, besides Stephen King, of course. I cannot express how great this book is. DEFINITELY one of my favorites of all time. It’s just GREAT. I never rate books on here bc I’m shy but...... JEEZE I just had to with this one. Absolutely the best book I’ve listened to or read this year so far that’s for sure

Not what I expected

This book isn't scary at all. It's not bad, just not what I thought I was spending my credit on. More fantasy with an edge than it is scary.
will be returning, not because it was "bad", but because it wasn't at all what was described.

Terrifying one minute and funny the next

I thoroughly enjoyed this unique one of a kind horror story. The narrator was the perfect fit. The only thing I didn’t like was that it had to end. Highly recommend this one!!

Weirdly creepy

Great read - weird and creepy but great. I enjoyed the flippant witty comments from the main character. All characters were well written - well worth the time.

Ok

The actual horror of the story was pretty good. Maybe could have be explained a bit more. Personally the main character complained to much for me to listen. Overall good but maybe just not my cup of tea.
