Interesting

It is a collection so some of the stories are really interesting and as usual with a collection some are not. It is a good read/listen and is interesting.
Taken as a whole I do recommend it. If you have an interest in true crime & occult mystery.

chilling

This 2 book set of true horror stories by Hannah Tidy will have you cringing at times and wondering how people can be so depraved most of the way through the books. The first book does have some ghost stories like the case from the Exorsist movie. The 2nd book are mostly some of the most horrific murders in history. Martin James narrates these books and though he is a bit dry its still a really good series if you like true crime.

Multiple Mini Series

Loved the range of stories. Didn't like how short each one was. Overall, I'd recommend it, value for your money!

Good but....

The narrator did a good job but the could have slowed down a bit and read it like they were telling a story and not just reading it from script.

A Disturbing Collection of True Horror

I have listened to both of these books individually. It was nice to actually have both in one setting. These stories are disturbing mainly due to the fact that they all happened! If you enjoy hearing about horrendous acts of violence and bizarre happenings then you should check out this collection. The stories will send you on a roller coaster ride of the dark side. Be aware that some of the stories have quite graphic details about what happened while others are only guessed at for various reasons.

Real Horror is Just as Horrific

This two book set offers a multitude of spine chilling tales of real horror and true crime from various sources. None really stood out but they were interesting bits and pieces of stories. Enough details to keep it interesting and disturbing. Definitely recommend.

Not scary at all - more like newspaper stories

Although the some of the stories were unnerving they were not at all scary. It was like listening to the ABC show 20/20 or Unsolved Mysteries. There are straight up murders by home invaders and some supernatural ones, such as the first exorcism. Unfortunately, each one of them read like a detailed news story. The narrator did a fine job and kept me listening but I was looking for something much more scary.

These are trues stories of Horror and Murder

Mrs. Tidy has definitely shown that she researches her work to ensure accurate accounting of these sometimes horrific and other times just plain odd stories. I was so taken by the chosen tales that I researched the stories laid out by the author. I was pleasantly surprised at the lack of embellishment on the terrifying tales contained inside. While I do love these collections of unsolved cases I can honestly say I am looking forward to future original work from this author. My only issue was with the audio work of Martin James as it came across as a little lifeless at time.
