Publisher's Summary

Alpha Demitrey Jackson felt on top of the world. He was alpha of one of the largest wolf packs In North America, he was wealthy, and he had a beautiful mistress. Yes, a mistress, not a mate; he never wanted one. No one knew why, yet no one questioned his decision. When a smaller pack was being threatened by rogues, he was asked to help, and so a peace treaty was signed through a marriage between him and the youngest daughter of the alpha of the silent moon pack, but who knew that she was his destined mate?

Adelina Veraso dreamed of the day her mate would sweep her off her feet, take her in his warm embrace, shower her with hugs and kisses, and love her for who she was. But she never expected him to be a cold asshole who loathed and insulted her, made love to his mistress instead of her - who treated her as though she was some animal, yet treated his mistress as though she was a queen. He allowed no other male to approach her, but his mistress gets to saunter around with whomever she pleases. And she hated the way he played with her heart, toyed with her feelings, and teased her body whenever he felt like degrading her.

Demitrey is stuck with Adelina, but he wants nothing to do with her. So why can't he take her out of his mind? Why can't he stay out of her bed at night? Why does he get jealous when another male approaches her? And why, oh, why can't he let her go?

Join Adelina as she experiences a roller coaster of emotions, tears, romance, heartbreak, and maybe love, and join Demitrey as he withstands a battle within himself when it comes to Adelina.

horrible - rape is not okay

Horrible storyline. Within the first 30 minutes the main character is talking about her father having sex with her sisters like it was perfectly normal and not rape, and then her "mate" treats her like shit and she just goes along with it like some weak person. Needless to say after 30 minutes I realized this book was not for me. The narrator was okay but the actual writing and storyline was crap.....and I'm not okay with the way the main character talked about her sisters enjoying being raped by their father.

start out okay ended up a piece of shit

I would not recommend this book a piss me off. sing start getting old long and drawn-out and repetitive. The characters totally lost their Allure and the ending was so stupid I feel like I wasted that many hours of my life listening to it

DNF

I really tried to finish but I just couldn't. There were too many "flashbacks" which were totally unnecessary. The characters were flat and not fully developed. For example, the Alpha who is an adult was said to "bring his fingers to his mouth and act like he was locking his lips and throwing away the key." I've never seen an Alpha type male do that.

I also was not crazy about the narrator. It was hard to follow who was supposed to be speaking as the voices were all the same. She was read to quickly and never paused for dramatic effect.

I dont see myself getting another book by this author or narrator.

terrible storyline

many grammatical errors and misspelled words took away from the storyline. I couldn't keep listening to it with how low education the author appeared to have

decent

the story is pretty good, but not well written. A lot of time is wasted repeating things that have already past. Narration is ok but the accents dont match the story.

Horrible

I’ve read better fan fiction stories than this book. Weak ever changing storyline. Contradictions throughout the book, it was very hard to stay focused. I could not even finish this book. Waste of money.

Confusing with unforgiveable hero

Can't say I loved this. It was hard to follow in parts and seemed to jump around all over the place.

The character of Demitrey in particular was inconsistent and I confess he lost any standing with me from the moment he hit the heroine. There was no going back for me from there. All the later justifications for his actions could maybe explain most of his behaviour, but not that.

The unveiling at the end seemed to involve an unconvincing number of villains, it was all just too much muddled together.

Probably won't be listening to the rest of the series.

Okay

Needed different voices for the characters.

worth the credit

really wished they had men narrating the males parts. A female fox just doesnt do the male characters justice, however i thought the accents were ok.

All good

I had read this book prior to listening to it and i didn't mind it. It has some good twists and turns, things that are usually lacking in a lot of this genre, They get into the lovey dove and the novels turns out predictable.
Irtania has done a good job in keeping you on the edge wanting to know what is going to happen with more than just jumping in beds all the time, there is a story to it.

Love

I love this book i have listend to it a few times. All except for the very drawn out and ridiculous telling of the villains plot by themselves for to many chapters. I still love the book it's a good twist on the usual mate story
