Great stories about a great city

The stories in this book make me love New Orleans more than ever. The inauthentic pronunciations of some of the places make dents in what is otherwise a perfectly credible telling of these historical gems.

Very interesting history

I really enjoyed the history that we never learned in school. The stories of the axe man and Tennessee Williams were fascinating.

Good book, could use better pronounciation

it was a pretty good book. I wish the narrator pronounced French and Creole words better. I cri ged every time he said jambalaya

Great subject matter with stories I had never heard before but the author & narrator was just awful to listen to. I just couldn’t get through it
