Don’t let title fool you

This is ok book for a quick history lesson and then goes on into a lil bit a ghost stories.
The narrator talks to fast and doesn’t make it more interesting to continue to listen.

Awesome stories and educational

i didnt like the narrator. he sounded like Robin Leach (lifestyles of the rich and famous).

A Lot of Interesting History!

This is one of the books I decided to listen to, in preparation for visiting New Orleans, later this year. Good legends and stories to be familiar with, before visiting. Wouldn’t want to encounter any of the ghosts, though.

Engaging and Historical, A Compelling Listen

As Halloween starts in August - at the same time school starts - in our household, we were looking to strike the middle ground between academic and horror. This book ably delivers that. Well researched local history gives way to engaging ghost stories in this one. Glad to have had the chance to listen to it!

Quick and to the point

This was a quick listen to get you familiar with some of the folklore and legends of New Orleans. The introduction to the city itself is well done. I enjoyed the book

Poor Naration

Just couldn’t listen to the narrator longer than 5 minutes. Really wanted to listen to the book but it wasn’t worth grinding my teeth over Mr. Rowan’s voice.

Excellent haunted history tour of New Orleans!!! I am from the area and I must say that there were interesting facts that I did not know! A must read ffor any lover of NOLA!

History mix with ghost

Troy Taylor is one of my favorite authors. The book is very fascinating mix of history and ghosts with a dash of crime. Can wait for more of his books to come to audible.

accurate history

I didn't care for the voice or inflections of the reader. I found the pronunciation of several of the names rather irritating .

Haunted NOLA

A great mix of hauntings in one of my favorite cities to visit. Great story telling.
