This story is for those interested in what happens to Rosgard after the Great Expedition and what other adventures he'll have and secrets he'll learn. Even though he remains a famous player, his legendary status is no more, and he is no longer under the auspices of the incredibly influential clan of the Sleepless Ones.

He needs to ponder founding a clan, choosing the region of Waldyra that he favors the most as his home base. The problem, though, is that soon after the exodus of most old school heavyweight players to Zar'Graad the PKs and the fledgling Old Continent clans transformed the Lake District, which remained unattended, into a gloomy and dangerous place.

I have enjoyed the books so far. Ros is someone I like to hear about and look forward to more books.

New Narrator

Story was good but it was really distracting and hard to get into. I ended up reading the end of the story. The narrator was fine. My problem is it seems like he did not do any research or listen to prior stories.

It feels like the main character and several supporting characters have totally new personalities and names or pronounced different. Particularly referring to the women. His girlfriend and the leader of the silent clan.

Made them see less than they were before. Wish I would have just read the story first.

story is great narrator not so much

I listened to the previous 9 books with a different narrator who nailed it. I enjoyed the story alot. I came to the new series with a new narrator who mispronounces a lot of names making there sound like new characters. Its like the current narrator didn't even bother to research how his previous predecessor pronounced from the previous books and gave them new names with how poorly pronounced they are by him. I just wished the author kept the previous narrator. The only thing that keeps me going is how great the story is.
