A whirlwind of secrets and twists!

This was is great book that I would highly recommend! Kendall, at 12 years of age, suffered a head injury that left a lot of her childhood forgotten. That she does remember is sometimes questionable, specifically the night of her accident. Her father was imprisoned for money laundering, and her mother, whom she hasn't seen truly happy since before the accident, won't answer the one question she's been asking for years. Who is her real father?

Now, on what is supposed to be the happiest day of her life up until this point, Kendall loses a prestigious fellowship due to the estate of the now deceased sponsor being called into question by her greedy husband. To add insult to injury, she walks in to find her boyfriend of three years cheating with his ex-girlfriend. Now, with no fellowship, newly single, and no time left to get the money needed to pay for this semester's courses and living expenses, Kendall is stuck between a rock and a hard place. That is, until her luck is changed by a social media influencer she's followed for years. Only something's not quite as it seems, but Kendall is desperate, and her options are few.

Lots of twists & turns

I loved the story but the narrator was awesome... I hope she has read others... I'm a fan of both

Lots of twists and turns, intriguing characters, and a villain surprise. Great narration and would read again!

Shocker!!!!

Absolutely love this book!!! You won’t believe how it ends! Make sure you aren’t distracted or disturbed! My favorite book by Henry thus far!

The narration is great, the book, terrible

The premise starts out good. Then the story gets more ans more far fetched with too many unnecessary characters and plot twists to keep up with. The book feels all over the place and tries to wrap things uo with a bow at the end. The narrator's voice is excellent. However, this book feels as silly and over the top as a Tyker Perry thriller. It wasn't fun to listen to because the pacing and writing are bad. After reading the Perfect Affair I wanted to enjoy this book. Maybe its meant to be a silly escape. However its too poorly written for that. I don't recommend it.
