Publisher's summary

She wants my husband. She wants my life.

About to become parents, my husband and I decided to move to my small hometown to be closer to my family. Everything was perfect until I met our new neighbor—the reason I moved away to begin with.

Kelly Van Patten.

She's the epitome of beauty. With her radiant blond hair, captivating blue eyes, and a smile so warm and caring, it's no wonder everyone adores her… except me.

Even my husband is falling for her charm and manipulation, or worse, falling for her.

When Kelly slips and accidentally shows her true colors, I realize something even worse. Does she know what I've been hiding?

All I want is to start my family.

She has something more sinister in mind.

Good twists… you think you know, but you’ll be surprised. Worth the credit. Good narration and character development. I enjoyed the story and pace.

One of the best domestic thrillers I've read

The Jealous Wife : A psychological thriller with a nerve-shredding ending, my seventh read from author James Caine. One of the best domestic thrillers I've read this year! "I received an Audible copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The Affair is Caine's next read on my TBR list. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Bothersome Characters

The characters in this novel are bothersome and childish. I personally grew tired of Nora and Kelly’s actions and personalities. Jameson wasn’t much better. The storyline is cut between the present and when Nora and Kelly knew each other in high school as well as being told from their perspectives. I would say this could be a YA crossover.

Two stars, rounded up

I am jealous of those who listened to "The Jealous Wife" and enjoyed it.

TRUE CONFESSION: I almost always adore books about jealous wives.

Not this time.

WHY? This book had a strong YA vibe with unauthentic dialogue and a contrived plot.

The book unfolded from two POVs and I was surprised to learn that there were two narrators because both narrators sounded very similar and, therefore, at times, it was tough to discern who was saying what.

A DNF for me. Getting my Audible credit back.

UGH!
