amazing story

this story is getting more and more complex, and I love it. now I gotta read the next book to see what happens next. So, a lot more darkness in this book than some of the earlier ones, which is saying a lot. it's not for the faint of heart, or pearl-clutchers. But it's good

not bad

finally this book is longer than the others the only problems are he makes 2 many throughout the whole book and the other problem is the whole Centaur loving thing it's just weird that's about it

im loving this series, the only complaint I had about a few of the previous books has been corrected, and the story is amazing.

Can't wait for the 5th book!!

Excellent listen. Perfect for long drives cross country. Between the authors amazing story and how the narrator brings the characters to life everyone is bound to get hooked on this series.

Non stop Action

Fast non stop action! Star is a Luck SOB but hey that's why we like these type of books.

The title is misleading

By helping a friend I assumed it meant his irl friend's castle but Jason doesn't even make it to his friend within this book. Slow. That doesn't mean the story isn't an awesome adventure. I thought the previous books were dark but they don't have anything on this book. Necrophilia, cannibalism, slavery, rape, and torture fill this book. I think the most unrealistic part of this series is that there aren't players that stop playing because of their morals. I still hate "morgues" and Jason's logout time. Still do NOT care even a little what Jason does out of game. Jason needs to find a way to play without logging out. Feeding tube and catheter. I mean don't they play in "dreamlike state" why can't that be enough rest. Maybe a more expensive package that allows them to be put in stasis in a facility. Think of how much Jason could get done without his stupid routine. I'm listening to this again and I am having serious issues with his relationship with the horse lady. It is too close to beastiality for me to be comfortable. How can Jason be more into a centar than a half elf?

Love the book except for some inconsistency.

The only problem that i had with this book was how Star had death knight as a class in 3rd book, in this book he had no class.
