Publisher's summary

A new adventure awaits Allen as he enters the service of a noble!

After climbing up the social ladder from serf to manservant, Allen now finds himself dragged around by the whims of the willful young lady of the house, Cecil Granvelle. Despite this, he is free to leave the city—and immerse himself in hunting monsters!

As Allen meticulously grinds on goblins and orcs, both he and his Summons grow stronger by the day. At the same time, he begins to earn the trust of the members of House Granvelle with his diligent work ethic.

Just as everything seems to be going well, however, the viscount overseeing the next fiefdom over seems to be up to something.

As danger creeps toward Cecil, Allen declares, "I promised to protect you, Lady Cecil. And I keep my promises."

Going all out with his skills and Summons, Allen must resist evil and impending doom!

loving the story

I like the pace and transition of the story along with the tonal changes that go on for each character. The only problem I have is that I'll hear a buzzing during the story. Sometimes it can be distracting as you listen. Other than that one thing the experience can be fine. Also the screams are entertaining and laugh worthy sometimes it's like a friend of mine telling them to me.

Only downside

Is that the next isn’t available yet. That and this is near impossible to find a place to pause instead of listening just a little bit longer.

Can’t wait to see where the story goes

The narrator has a slight lisp, but other than that he is fantastic, and the story is arguably better than the first book

Definitely Not Bad

The story has its problems, namely the MC overlooking impossibly obvious things from time to time for the sake of plot reasons, and also some of the secondary characters not asking the obvious question of, "What the hell is your ability?" to the MC, again, for plot reasons. The lazy writing aside, it was another entertaining instalment in the series and I'd love to hear more as soon as they are available. Let's hope they do a better job of including the next book in the series list than they did with this one.

Character development!

Honestly, the story progresses slowly and leaves me wanting the main character to develop faster but for the same reason I can’t put these books down! This is a 10/10 between voicing and writing the story build a joyful never ending need for more!

Continuing the story of an interesting concept. Are you Hell Mode tough.

The starts to make progress then the game hits him harder! His rules are never the same as everyone else’s. Keeps you interested and ready for the next episode!

This was epic!

I wouldn't say I liked the author's somber voice acting in action science, but it was the rest of the story was rehearsed.
