So many laughs for #TeamHeidi

This story was a breath of fresh air!

It was such a fun and unique storyline and I absolutely fell in love with it...all of it!!! From the very beginning I was laughing so hard! I even made a tater tot hotdish for dinner because the mom was super convincing that I needed to eat tater tot hotdish while I listened. But the story was also super sweet! And these two characters were perfect for each other!

But let's be honest, this story is ALL about Heidi! This was her show and she was is now one of my favorite characters! She is quirky and has this innocence to her and maybe slightly naive too but I absolutely adore her! The narrator did an amazing job bringing Heidi to life and I think that is another reason why I love this character.

If you love romcoms this is the book for you! I just finished it and I want to listen to it again!

So good, and so funny!

I was broke, out of credits, and looking for romantic comedy on my Audible Escapes package. This book popped up almost immediately. Hopefully this review sticks around after I return the borrowed copy. I haven't reviewed anything I've borrowed yet. I've listened to both author/s and the narrator before, and loved the writing style of Sivec and voice-acting of Arndt. The fact they collaborated on the writing was an instant "get this book now" from me. I have been laughing my butt off all day, picturing sweet, awkward Heidi , trying to say bad words and having to resort to rhyming them, to avoid sayimg them. Seriously. If you need to laugh at dorky people, this book will make you laugh as you squirm! Awesome!

Five stars isn’t enough!

So much love for this book from a Minnesota girl!

As a Minnesotan I tend to be skeptical when a narrator attempts the accent. This audiobook was amazing! Andi Arndt nailed it! I work in the town where the book takes place and it was absolutely spot on! All the details our quirky little town were true. Except that butter sculpture, that is not in the fridge at Hopper’s (that I know of), but we do in fact have a Princess Kay of the Milky Way whose face is carved out of butter and can be found on display at the Minnesota State Fair each year!

Heidi is a sweet lovable character you can’t help but love. Her mom is hilarious! I loved the whole idea of this story and feel inspired by it.

I can’t recommend this book enough! It was funny, sweet, and inspiring! Well done Tara and Andi!!!

Laugh out loud,great writing and narration

Heidi’s story starts as the tale told by so many cute, good girls. While they aren’t lived in quiet desperation, those lives are lived in quiet exasperation. When Heidi loses her “ this is what I’m supposed to do with my life “ job, she resolves to change the way she looks at life But changing the way she looks at life, changes the life she lives.
This story is laugh out loud hilarious. The writing is clever, funny, touching, and thought provoking. Heidi and Brent are ordinary/extraordinary people like most of us. Andi Ardnt’s narration is masterful. Be prepared for great fun.

I laughed so much listening to this book!! Its funny and cute and a must read!

Laugh out loud funny AND empowering?

I really wasn’t sure what I’d get when I started listening to this book except a fun way to pass the time on my commute. Turned out to be so good I had to listen at home until I finished it. The narrator was fantastic (don’t know how authentic the accent was since I’m not from the area). There are a few scenes (are those my ties?) that had me in deep belly laughs, not just thinking, oh yeah I can see where that’s funny. But honestly, the thing that got me about the book is how empowering it turns out to be for women that are shy about talking about sex, or women that have repressed their wants and needs all their lives because of their upbringing, society, religion, etc. I know we all won’t become friends with famous erotic book authors, but we all need a friend that knows how to push when we’re ready and listen when we need it. And we all could use a little encouragement to tell our sexual partners exactly what we want.

Ok so.... Heidi is definitely different from what I am use to. I feel like I am reading a story about a 15 year old virgin girl. She starts out annoying as heck. I almost stopped listening to this audiobook. But I didn’t only because I am a fan of Andi Arndt. It finally started to get somewhere after she finally made her move. Anyway it was a okay book.

Wow! What a fantastic, fun, and hilariously heartfelt story. I loved every second and laughed out loud on more than one occasion. Bravo! I hope these two collaborator again!

Tara Sivec and Andi Arndt are quite possibly THE. BEST. EVER! I can't remember laughing so hard. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for the MUCH NEEDED comic relief. I loved all of the characters but the women in this book will stay with me forever. I'm so sad it's over.

Hilarious!!!

This book is one of my new favorites! As always, great performance by Andi Arndt. I usually listen to a story as I float off to sleep and with this one, I kept laughing out loud, which kept both me and my husband from sleeping. Totally worth the bags under my eyes, because the sore abs from laughing so hard were delicious!
