This is the second book in the Depraved Sinners series. OMG NOO! What the heck just happened? Why do you do this to us Sheridan Anne? This book started off with a bang and ended in an epic explosion! I need to start book 3 ASAP! Kelsey Navarro and Blake Lockheart did a fantastic job narrating this book.

Dangerous!

Heathens picks up right where Psychos left off and, of course, ends in another big cliffhanger that left me begging for more. This book is all about revenge, murder and forgiveness and is just as dark and dangerous as the first book. The twists and turns are unexpected and captivating. Shayne, Roman, Marcus and Levi thrive on danger and are always causing trouble. I'm looking forward to seeing where their story goes from here. Kelsey Navarro and Blake Lockheart both did an amazing job bringing this story to life.

Amazing sequel!

Wow.....just wow! So I enjoyed book 1 but I wasn't 100% invested in the characters yet, I wasn't 100% in love with the main female character buuuuuuut book 2 completely changed my mind. I wish I hadn't started this book right before I went over to my family's house for a few days because trying to listen to the ending of this book around the festivities was frustrating hahaha. I wanted to just sit in the corner and hear my heart break apart with the horrible cliffhanger buuuut noooo, had to help make Christmas dinner and all that 🤣 Just kidding I love Christmas and everything that goes with it, I just wish it wasn't the polar vortex in my area so I could take walks to finish it haha.

Ok so there are a lot of reveals in this book, a lot of tough moments, but they all made sense, they all had a reason, and the author did a good job laying them out and making me as a reader get so sucked into the story. I really loved how the 2 brothers had to eat crow after what happened to Marcus was confirmed. I loved how our leading lady had to put her money where her mouth was and be the big bad mafia woman that she wanted to be if she stayed in this world/line of business. I enjoyed the wolves (oh my goodness the ending!!) and how she named them those names and how they protected her and brought her into their pack. I enjoyed the steam, especially the rooftop one but wanted to shake some of the brothers for their childish behavior after they had earned some brownie points and were headed in the right direction. I didnt think I would Levi after what he did but he was the only reasonable one and him cuddling her and being there for her was adorable and I couldn't stop smiling. Marcus made me laugh a lot but he also needed a whack upside his head! And Roman....like I get why he is so guarded, now that everything was revealed, and I felt so bad when Shayne said her hypothesis about the hooded figure, and the ending and how he is going to take it...just will be devastating. The subplot lines in this book are fantastic, make the detail and intricate world so much better ❤️

The side characters in this world are also great, be it the villains or the innocent bystanders. I cannot wait for a certain lady to get karmic justice, she deserved it after what she did to Shayne. I knew her dad would make an appearance, loved how all that was handled. Loved seeing Shayne stick up for her herself and the victim at the party she rescued/helped out. I thought Giovanni was some pretentious coward with how he let others handle his business but he is a cunning fox that is one step ahead of Shayne and the brothers unfortunately.

Ok enough about the story, don't want to give anything away. The narration was great again by both of these narrators. I love Kelsey in everything she does, she really brings her characters to life, especially during the gut wrenching moments (the party, the ending, the torture and stuff in the beginning), and Blake truly has brought these psychos to life. Nothing bad for me to say at all, 5/5 easily for the narration. Definitely recommend this series, if books 3 and 4 are like this one, it might overthrow Ocean's series as my fav by this author.

Intense

I listened Psychos and Heathens back to back, a long weekend with storms and no electricity made for the perfect listening environment.
I only have 2 gripes,
1. there wasn’t enough of the male narrator, it felt a bit jarring to go from a female voice for ages and ages to sudds male voice.
2. For someone who has recently had surgery myself and on pain meds, how on earth can Shayne be doing the things she was doing with Roman and Levi to their cousin, I know it’s a story, but damn I want her meds.
I can’t wait to start Savages next, the cliffhanger was intense!

Heart pounding intensity

Head spinning, heart pounding, jaw dropping, nail biting twist & turns around every corner. If you thought the violence and intensity in book 1 was intense, hold on to your hats because Heathens is bully romance on steroids!
