Publisher's Summary

I didn’t mean to kidnap the groom.

It was an accident.

Mostly....

At least I didn't take much time to plan it. It was more of a spur of the moment kidnapping. Does that count?

One minute, the town’s bad boy is standing at the altar about to marry the world’s most evil kindergarten teacher. The next, he’s passed out in my Vespa sidecar with his bride hot on our tail.

But I didn't have a choice! I couldn't stand by and watch Jace O’Dell be blackmailed into a loveless marriage. And besides, what’s a little kidnapping between friends?

Okay, so maybe we’re not just friends....

And maybe I can’t quit thinking about that night at his bar when he closed up early and had me on the rocks.

And maybe this crazy stunt is going to blow up in both of our faces.

If it does, I’m blaming the moonshine.

Even though the only thing I’m hammered on when it comes to Jace is love - straight up, no chaser.

I want to move to Happy Cat, GA!! ❤❤❤❤❤

Another hysterical love ❤ story about the people and their unusual pets in this quirky town. More George Cooney too!. Jacob Morgan and Virginia Rose are spectacular at bringing out the nuances the story and the towns people. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Loved all of it!!

Not a fun romcom like Hosed.

I loved Hosed SO MUCH and was so excited for this couple's story. The narrators - Virginia Rose and Jacob Morgan - were AMAZING (as always). This did not feel like a fun romcom to me, though.
What happened? The hero finally let his on/off gf know he was no longer in love but would be 100% supportive and present in raising the baby she's having. Gf threatens to move away & change her name so he'll never know anything about the baby. He quickly agrees to marriage. His internal monologue was - it's what she and the baby deserve. WHAT?! Your baby deserves a home built on manipulation, cruelty, and complete disregard for trust and honesty??? COOL. Not like that will require a lifetime of therapy for all involved to find healing and health.

really??? DNF got less than 1/2 way

so the chapters from his pov were enjoyable.... at least to chapter 7

those that were from her pov were literally tortuous, painful. I get it. Ithere are people that would find having a conversation with a feral racoon and hedgehog realistic.... i guess that probably makes me a jerk...
the book keeps calling her ditsy but annoying may work better

i hesitated because if all the animal references in the reviews - i should have heeded my doubts
what a waste

i rated it a 2 instead of a 1 because of the first several chapters, those from the H pov made me smile

Laugh Out Loud Good

I'm so glad we got a second book set in Happy Cat with it's one-of-a-kind cast of characters. This book focuses on Olivia Moonbeam, who works at the town's sex factory, and Jace O'Dell who's the resident "bad boy". And yes, we get to see more of the adorable and hysterical raccoon George Cooney.
This book is filled with the humor and love that readers have come to expect from Lili Valente and Pippa Grant. The characters are so well written and the situations they find themselves in are priceless but it's the pets that at times steal the show. The narrators are absolutely out of this world and really make the town of Happy Cat so believable.
I will definitely be enjoying this book more than once.

Narration was on point, both Jacob and Virginia was perfect. I hope there's more books about the folks of Happy Cat Atlanta!

Just not for me

I wanted to, I have loved past Lili and Pippa books but this one just didn’t work for me. I found the looney heroine just irritating. I wanted to enjoy the story, I know it’s a rom com but for me, it just came off as cheesy. Chewpacha and the emoji parts got me to smile however it wasn’t enough to make the book climb on the star scale. Jacob Morgan was the only reason it got a high performance rating.

Another crazy book

This series just gets better and better, incredibly far fetched, alpacas, raccoons, hedgehogs, pregnancies and kidnapping a groom.

Brilliantly read. Recommended!

A crazy, hilarious and heart melting love story

Well Lili and Pippa you have outdone yourselves with this story. The crazy population of this small town only adds to the love story between Olivia and Jace, as well as the odd mixture of animals cared for as pets.
Wonderful job done by Virginia and Jacob in the narration department.
I wish I could give it more than 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Crazy and funny!

Crazy and funny!
Olivia Moonbeam is a wacky but wonderful character the likes of I’ve never read before. It’s a lighthearted fun romance with fab characters, a great storyline, sexy times, and a kidnapping. You won’t want to miss it!

Another home run in this awesome series!!

This series really is amazing!!! They have everything you want from a romance and have some real "laugh out loud' moments too. Everything I loved about the first book in the series "Hosed" was equally as great in this book. The narrators were amazing as usual. Seriously people, buy this series, you won't regret it.

Another Good Read

Enjoyed it just as much as the last one I read (Hosed). Warm and well-developed characters and setting, a nice amount of humour and a fairly good storyline. As far as quick romances go, this one is great.
