Decent overview of Vodou

This book provides some good insight into the traditions of Vodou. However, there were a few things in this audio book that could be improved.

The chapter on the lwa could be cut down into subsections instead of being over an hour long. Also, this chapter cuts off mid sentence when outlining Maman Brigitte.

This book was well laid out well-thought-out and explained some very complex concepts Or the dramatic. It is an excellent read I learned a great deal and I'm hungry for more of this author.. Thank you for the effort

Loved this book will definitely listen to it a few more time. I will definitely listen to this over again. very informative an was well told.

Informative and Interesting

I overall enjoyed this book. However, there is quite a bit of information to unpack and in my opinion, I wish I had read a hardbound version with photo or drawing references to accompany the words. It’s easy to get lost in much of the dense and detailed descriptions. This book does make me more interested in learning about Vodou and Haitian culture, in general.
