The apocalypse is coming.

A major demon has decided to start a war that will kill off humanity and give control to his demon legions.

Kastor Blackwood was chosen at birth to prevent that war. Will he succeed in finding the guardian and prevent world destruction? Will humanity survive? Will they be able to crawl and scratch their way back from the brink of extinction in a fragile new world?

With the help of a few unlikely allies, he may be able to succeed in his task.

At the conclusion of book one Kastor Blackwood (Kas) summarized the mission set before him: 1.) Find the demon responsible for the murders 2.) Send stray demons back to hell 3.) Search for seal bearer or bearers 4.) Prevent the seals from being opened 5.) Talk to my Sire and last but not least 6.) Stop the apocalypse. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy; no problem right? Not to be undaunted Kas sets out to find the bearers. Will he be able to prevent the seals from opening and stop a war which would destroy humanity? Three.point.five for an interesting rendition. Even tho I haven't read the first book I enjoyed this one. I'll probably go back and get the first one now. It's a bit short but it's worth it.

Excellent narration. Very enjoyable.

This story could easily be read and/or listened to in one day! It's fast paced with amazing characters, old and new. I didn't want to listen to the last half hour because I realized the story was coming to the end and I would have to wait for what feels like forever to get the next one! The writing is superb and David S. Dear is quite possibly the BEST narrator there is! This story is funny, witty, engaging... you care what happens with each character. There was a moment when my heart was just ripped out, and David takes each word on the page and brings them to life; so much so that you have to pause and take a minute. I can't wait for the next installment!

Holy Hell!!!!!

This was an interesting, fast-paced shorter book. I loved how well the author tied in biblical occurrences and twisted them for fantasy purposes. This is book two in the series, and having not listened to the first, I never once felt lost.

The characters were likable - the narrator really brought them to life. He’s truly talented and I look forward to finding more books he narrates. He has one of those voices I could listen to for hours on end.

The story plotting was great, but the writing style fell short. It wasn’t developed.

Who would I recommend this to? Those who love the TV show Lucifer or any other supernatural mystery thriller.

Great Narrator, developing writer
