I give this 5 witches :-D

I adore this series so much and this book doesn't disappoint. Are adventurers are still stuck on Badlands Island and going a little stir crazy. They take a trip to a luxury spa to get away from their troubles. But as you might expect, trouble finds them anyway. Great story.

Not Quite the Expected Day at the Spa

A day at the spa isn’t quite as relaxing as Imogen has hoped. Imogen, again, finds herself searching for a killer. Can she and her friends remain safe as they try to ferret out who done it? This is another great installment in this series. I’ve listened to all the books so far, and I haven’t been disappointed. The author puts together great tales that are believable and enchanting. The narrator provides the best kind of storytelling. She makes the characters come to life and draws you into their world. I had a great time listening to this audiobook. I can’t wait to start the next. I received an Audible code from the author for this book. I thank her for her generosity, but it had no effect on this review. All opinions in this review reflect my true and honest reactions to listening to this book

Grimoires, Spas & Chocolate Straws

I love the cast of characters in this series! The cast makes for a fantastic story line that is highly entertaining. Being stuck in the Badlands is not anyone's ideal location, but the gang must make it work to survive. The narration is just fantastic, I love all her character voices.

Another great adventure for the gang. In this book we find out more about Imogen's brother. Love is in the air and as always there is a mystery to solve. I highly recommend this series and can't wait for the next book.

Better than a trip to the spa!

This series of cozy magical mysteries is amazing and each book leaves me feeling relaxed and happy. This new book in the series picks up straight from the last, and Imogen and the gang are still in the badlands and need to help the locals with deliveries on the coast. I won't go into any details, as I don't want to spoil anything, but it was nice to listen to how Imogen relationship with Hank is developing and how he is coping be non-royality now. I love Erin Johnson books and if after this you're missing some magical mystery books, check out her Magic Market series which is set in Bejumere (the french island this series started in). Again, the narration is really good and brings the characters to life, it amazes me how easy it is to identify each character she narrates while none of them feel like a forced characterisation.

Great way to relax and enjoy yourself

Wow!!! I loved this book. The characters are so colourful and a delight to listen to. The author never fails to bring a smile to your face and a giggle to your lips, with her cleverly crafted characters. I have loved this series since the start 8 books ago and I feel like I know the main group of characters so well, from Iggy the flames snarky comments to Sam the shifters shyness, to Maple the head bakers sweetness, even Horace the leader of the bad lands tricks, all of them are a delight to read about and I hops there is more to come because I for one can't wait for the next book. Imogen and her friends still haven't caught up with her brother Horace to find out how to get hone. They decide they need a break from dodging monsters in the forests so agree to the a company the guards to a dragon spa for pampering and while the guards protect the fisherman at night Imogen and her friends would make deliveries around the town and then enjoy the festival. The only catch is they are guests of the black widow, the owner of the spar has buried two husbands and countless lovers but is she really a killer? Imogen believes so when receiving there first treatment they witness the death of a man seen her her presence only minutes before. Imogen is on holiday and has no intention of investigating, until one of her friends falls under the black widows spell and fearing for his life she, Iggy and the gang pull out all the stops to get to the bottom of the murder before there friend become a the next victim. I really like the narrator and the use of the special effects, it really adds to the story and helps bring it to life magically. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Love these books

Erin Johnson is just an amazing writer! I enjoy listening to her books and also reading her books. I have listened to all the book on repeat about 3 times now. They make me so happy. Love the story line and the way it’s written. Hannah Somerville reads these books in a way that draws you in and makes you want to listen to them for hours. She does the voices so well. Amazing! 11/10 and highly recommend. This story is full of mystery and is just so very addictive.
