Publisher's Summary

Jenny Dawson moved to Nashville to write music, not get famous. But when her latest record goes double platinum, Jenny's suddenly one of the town's biggest stars - and the center of a tabloid scandal connecting her with a pop star she's barely even met. With paparazzi tracking her every move, Jenny flees to a remote mansion in Louisiana to write her next album. The only hiccup is the unexpected presence of a brooding young caretaker named Noah, whose foul mouth and snap judgments lead to constant bickering - and serious heat.

Noah really should tell Jenny that he's Preston Noah Maxwell Walcott, the owner of the estate where the feisty country singer has made her spoiled self at home. But the charade gives Noah a much-needed break from his own troubles, and before long, their verbal sparring is indistinguishable from foreplay. But as sizzling nights give way to quiet pillow talk, Noah begins to realize that Jenny's almost as complicated as he is. To fit into each other's lives, they'll need the courage to face their problems together before the outside world catches up to them.

Loved this one

Wasn't sure about this book after reading the synopsis and the lack of audible reviews posted at the time. I couldn't tell if this was worth my time and $/credit. However all that being said I'm so glad I took a chance on this one. This was such a sweet story but had a dirty side as well. Overall it was a cute lighthearted story that's funny, sexy at times, but not overly so, and keeps your attention from start to finish. The narrators are amazing and only add depth to the characters. This book is worth a credit/$.

Women as doormats

This is a fine example of a woman who always herself to be a doormat repeatedly and be abused verbally and emotionally for "love". No real romance

Couldn't finish

Started out OK, but the 'story' deteriorates' fast. Why would anyone like the male lead - a man who degrades a woman is NOT sexy. And on what planet would a woman think she can get 'revenge' on a man by giving him a BJ. Just stupid. I want my credit back.

I wanted to like it

I enjoy Lauren Layne....usually. But this one left me disappointed. Maybe I wasn’t the age group she was targeting but like another review how does a BJ redeem you from him slut shaming you. I guess I am a far to independent woman to tolerate the absolutely awful way he treats her. Not to mention her if ignore it, it will go away stand point.

Wasn't for me..

Struggled to finish the story.. Lost interest in the plot right from the beginning. I suppose it was the country singer angle and the narrator's twang that just wasn't my cup of tea.

Entertaining!

If you could sum up Good Girl in three words, what would they be?

Funny! Sexy! Entertaining!

What other book might you compare Good Girl to and why?

I can't think of any other book to compare.

Have you listened to any of Loretta Rawlins and Eric Michael Summerer ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Nope first time. They were good.

Ended too quickly.

Overall the story was good, enjoyable. I generally liked the characters and how they interacted. However, I felt that the character development was a bit slow and once they were fully established the story just ended. Unless she's setting up for a sequel, this book needs like 3 more chapters.
I will say that their little exchanges with the weird leering and forced intimacy gave me pause. But they were addressed in the context and I guess I can't project how I would react to those situations into the characters.
