The latest novel in the smash-hit Plated Prisoners by Sunday Times bestselling author Raven Kennedy

'Find me in another life. Find me in them all'

It all ends now...

But Every end is also a beginning.

I was supposed to die. If it weren’t for Slade, I would have. But he tore a hole the world I know and I went through it. To Annwyn. To home.

Annwyn is the realm of the fae, a magical place full of beauty and danger.

Here, I am known as Lyäri Ulvêre – the golden one gone. And there are people in this world who want to keep me that way.

But I am not that girl in the gilded cage anymore, and I won’t be used again. Nor stopped on my way back to Slade.

I am my own woman. And I will find him. In this world, or the next.

Just briljant. The voices made the story more real. It was a good addition next to reading the story.

Briljant.

This is an excellent book that has been read fantastically by two voice actors who put accents and tonal differences between all the different characters.

POV voice acting

Such a pity that the voice actor for the main character has changed from the first books 😪 Had to remind myself it was Auren because of that. Felt like it was a completely new book.
That's why i gave the performance 2 stars.
The story was good, the beginning was good, but the world building in the fae world lacked depth.
But overall very good. Because i love the characters so much alteady--) an overal five stars.

Great beginning

Yet another book in this series that’s unnecessarily long, boring filler. It was slightly better than book 4, but there wasn’t enough plot to justify the length.
*Spoilers*
To have our main couple separated for the entirety of this book is infuriating, they don’t even get back together by the end!
Auren’s story in this book feels just irrelevant. She magically gets her ribbons back, with no explanation or anything, so all that grief and lamenting she did on book 4 about loosing them, poof, resolved in an instant just ‘cause.
Queen Malina… I just can’t like her or her story. It’s just so badly developed. She’s been an awful, entitled, selfish brat for four books, but now, poof, suddenly her personality changes with no progression whatsoever. She’s now selfless and loves her people and is willing to die for her kingdom… it all felt forced and unjustified. She got magic powers like yesterday but she can use them masterfully easily. Never mind that we’ve experienced Auren struggle to control her magic for the entire series, whatever, Malina does it in a minute because the plot requieres it. Her “love story” is also super forced and out of nowhere, but mostly, who cares??
Osrik’s and Rissa’s story is another flop. How are we supposed to care for them if they’ve barely interacted and Rissa spends the entire book unconscious? All of Os’s chapters is him suffering for her and out of nowhere declaring that he loves her, how did that happen? When? He just sounds delusional. But guess what? Poof, suddenly magic healing kid appears and Rissa is saved.
Slade goes on a revenge/killing spree, which I think were the best parts of this boring book. But why didn’t he go for Queen Kaila first? Who knows. When are we going to see him act like the smart, powerful king he was on the first books? He’s a mess and can’t seem to function rationally without Auren, which is lame and boring.
And to top all this mess off, we end with the amazing trope of Auren having her memories erased, so we have that to look forward to in the next book. Send help.
