Equipped with a Holocene-class God-walker, Gunnar McConnell and his crew embark on a dangerous mission to outsmart Arvad and find the ancient coins before he does.
Immediately upon their return from a disastrous starship cruise, Gunnar McConnell is now in debt to the Aloysians and has no way to pay them back. To free himself and his crew, he must complete a dangerous mission. But first, he must fully embrace his legacy by participating in an ancient ceremony.
If he fully commits, he will be given secrets to his lineage and his Keeper skills and learn about the family he never knew.
But will this commitment force him to sell his soul to the Aloysians? If he survives the ceremony, he must embark on a dangerous journey to a greed-invested planet covered with lawless men and carcinogenic salt flats that are guarded by cannibalistic aliens.
Though armed with a loyal crew and one of the last God-walker ships in existence, unless he can find and bring together twenty-four rhodium coins that once belonged to the fallen Starship Keepers, the codebooks will be lost forever.
If he fails in his mission, the Aloysians will own him; the safety of the galaxy and his future as a Starship Keeper may become non-existent.
Once on Krenaisha, Gunnar soon realizes that the hunter has now become the hunted. As he races against time, facing fierce odds and powerful and deadly enemies he never knew could existed, he must kill or be killed.
